I saw it t at Lowestoft Air Show yesterday, I posted some piccies in the Photography forum.
I'll be at Sunderland on Saturday for the Vulcan, love seeing it flying.
Cant decide whether to just bring the compact camera with 8x zoom thats a bit long in the tooth, or clean up the CCD and do the job right, borrow my g/f's Fuji S2 Pro and 80-300 Sigma lens.
Decisions decisions.....
You never really know
XM715 (Teasin Tina) accidently took off on a fast taxi run at Bruntingthorpe earlier this year......
Anyone in the North East it is flying at Sunderland Airshow on Saturday (only Sat aswell)
KaHn
Last time this will fly again.
Hoping to see it at Throckmorton and Cosford.
Also, important note for anyone considering either of those events - they are advance tickets ONLY.
I normally get there as soon as I can for the gate opening.
Just have to fill a few hours then before the flying starts!
Not sure if they still do but I also used to go in the back way rather than the main road.
I work at Doncaster airport so get a pretty similar experience. Going to be mad on its last flight with all the spotters.I'm spoilt as hey do their test flights right over where I work every year. I guess its because Elvington airfield is so close in case of any emergencies awesome seeing her fly. The noise is incredible
Very sad to hear but I suppose the airframe can only take so much.
I've been lucky enough to sit in the cockpit of XL319 and see it a few times and remember it landing for the last time at the old Sunderland airport before Nissan was built.
Fantastic machine and one of my favourite jets although the EE Lightning will take some knocking off the top.
