PS4 - ShakeNBakeUK - Lvl 33 Titan LFG for either Trials of Osiris, Lvl 34 PoE, or weekly nightfall strike TODAY!

I'm a bit rusty, have 0 exp of ToO / 34 PoE, but have a mic.

I have a 365 atk Red Death, Helm of Saint-14, 365 Icebreaker, 365 Ghorn + an assortment of 331 atk purples.

Leave me a msg here or on PSN.

Anyone else sick of bladedancers in Trials? They do my head in. Apart from a fist of havoc, there's pretty much no way to counter them, we were just 4-4 in our last match, all three of us up, they had one left who happened to be a bladedancer. He popped it and shredded us all in a matter of seconds. I personally got three Secret Handshake rounds in his face and he just shrugged it off.

Does my head in :(

to be fair, you can't really counter any of the supers. How do you counter a nova bomb ? you can't exactly run away. Just gotta hope he misses it.

You can't counter the fist of panic either. And you can't really counter golden gun. One look at you and you're insta dead.

The only thing you can do anything about is the titan bubble and the warlocks revive.

Just started playing the expansion. Already ascended some exotic armour because all it needs is exotic shards. Everything else needs etheric light. What's the best way to collect that stuff?

I've been playing 2 weeks and didn't get any.
Seems the most reliable way to get it is to be lvl 34+
Which is really annoying, cos without etheric light, you gotta wait 3-4 weeks to hit 34 AND you gotta be without 365 dmg elemental weapons outside of exotics.

Ok, literally just had the most insane day ever today, thought I would share.
To start, I was lvl 33, need boots for lvl 34 but wasn't expecting to get them til next week. Played a bunch of Crucible to max out marks, and bought a gun.
Then joined a LFG for nightfall, we managed to clear it on 1st attempt but it was pretty intense (thnx god for icebreaker, glad i ascended that weapon).
Then joined a LFG for ToO, my 1st try, this guy I was playing with taught me a lot. Ultimately I got pretty shrek'd in the later stages by the countless Thorns / Mythoclasts, but managed to clinch 5 wins to get the light 42 boots! Hit lvl 34 a week earlier than expected!!!
Immediately signed up for PoE 34, even though I had heard all the terror stories from this week, joined a couple of guys at last boss. Originally we wanted to cheese it with Ghorn / weapons of light / ammo synth, but whilst farming heavy ammo / super power we accidentally figured out that it was possible to kill the special add, then stand on top of each other and 1 guy can just annihilate all the shields really easy. We decided to scrap the ghorn method and do it man mode / legit. Several good attempts at the start, then it all started going wrong, then finally we got back into the rhythm of it and managed to pull of one successful attempt!!! Really awesome feeling to take on something that feels next to impossible at the start, but with teamwork and co-ordination able to overcome the challenge! Got my 1st Etheric Light, which I will probably use to upgrade my Vision of Confluence to max, and then pray all the content has solar burn on next week ^_^

OH WHAT A DAY, WHAT A LOVELY DAY!

Nice :) Not had a chance to get on over the weekend so no trials for me. I'm counting on either a helm or boots from Variks to get to 34 on Tuesday....or perhaps the NF finally dropping some etheric.

IB could be interesting, I think everyone is after etheric light so should be plenty of people to team up with. Discussing while raiding last night the general idea was to try to get a party going continuously so people can come and go but always have 5 or 6 people for a team.

That's what's happened the last few IB, there's been at least a couple of OCUK fireteams around most days. Just look for a party OCUK IB or make one if it's not up yet.

Ah ok, wasn't aware of that as I have not done any IB really. Tried it the first time it came around but haven't played any subsequent times.

Exotic Weapon Bounty has just popped up. Do you get to choose all three or just one? If the latter, which is the best to choose?

A Light In The Dark, Toland's Legacy or A Dubious Task?

EDIT: Never mind. I found a guide which explains each one and they all involve Crucible matches one way or another and I'm not entertaining that. So I'll skip them.

Wasn't around last time but that was my plan too - as noted in the other thread i'll be starting parties each night to play it - or just join elsewhere if there are already a few people going at it.

Didn't want people to feel they need an invite and I'm not in the clan so if I'm on, anyone is welcome to join without asking.

I've gradually been re-adding people recently as I purged my friends list late last year when I all but stopped playing online games for a while.
But everyone on there now i've had some good games with - if we regularly team up we're all going to have plenty success in IB.

Should be a lot less stressful than ToO!!

I'm waiting on that one until we hit a good map. We had some goes on sunday but struggled - then I played Skirmish and my level just increase 5x - until we hit Pantheon in Skirmish then I was awful again.
Not too surprising, on all the online FPS games I've played there have always been good/bad maps.

It's not a small difference either - I can dominate 1 v 3 on my fave maps, but struggle to even contribute at all on others.

Please let it be The Anomaly map next time!! I've come to like that one and usually do very well on it.

Don't let the PvP side put you off, I hadn't played any crucible until the exotic bounties but now really enjoy it.

A light in the dark is to get Thorn one of the best hand cannons. Bad juju (Toland's legacy) is awesome especially if you're a void walker warlock with obsidian mind.

As per toM123 above, don't be put off the Crucible side of things. Ignoring the Exotic bounties is skipping a relatively easy method of obtaining exotic guns some of which are fantastic like Thorn. Also, assuming you are semi competent at Destiny, it should only take a handful of games to complete the crucible side of things. If you really deteste crucible that much get rid of the bounties but otherwise I would say suffer a little bit of pain to get through the crucible bits and then you can enjoy the guns in PvE.

That match on Pantheon was epic thou, we was 1800~ vs 4950~ and almost tied LOL. I think we did alright on ToO, first match we just threw away and the other 2 we where just out classes, we made a few mistakes but not a huge amount.
