Rec'd mine yesterday, after placing an order on launch day. 316L Stainless Steel 42mm.

Slightly steeper learning curve than other Apple iOS devices.. Perhaps because the screen is so small, and now relies on pressure touch. Anyway, getting the hang of it after a couple of hrs of playing. Not put anything on in terms of specialized apps yet. Only put my black sport band on for the first time 10mins ago, and really like the lighter weight. Did my regular morning cycle, and stats seem to fall in line with my Sigma bike computer. About to go to the gym to try out a stationary elliptical workout.

Made a couple of calls tried the siri texting. Will probably revert back to using my phone for most things, once the novelty wears off.. but i did need a new watch anyway. Battery life currently at 56% and i've only had it on for half a day.. Probably going to need to top up charge it later today.

So far very happy with my purchase.

Yes, you've got 60 days to purchase AppleCare+. As you say, you have to do it over the phone or in store. I did it in store, took about five minutes.

yep my 42mm Space Grey has gone from 2-3 weeks and now says 9-11 business days, only ordered at weekend. :)

Well today is my first normal day of use... Was charged at 100% at 8am, now its only at 22%

Also my iPhone battery which is normally much higher, is only at 50%

I've made a couple of calls on the watch, ran it about 90mins of exercise which is quite consuming on the battery i imagine as its constantly reading your heart rate via the green lights.

I'm going to need to buy an extra charging cable and give it a top up during the day.

Other than that, i'm really enjoying it.

my order just been bought forward to 9-11 days too, looks like supply is getting back on track

after a couple of weeks with the watch I found I could get 2 days without charging and would just do a complete discharge on the weekend

I found I got 3 days charge out of my iPhone 6plus while I had the watch., now that I sold the watch im back to a day and a bit

lol don't be daft. The iphone 6 is a samsung copy and the Apple Watch is a poor design given its from apple. Generally not keen on their products but their design used to be top notch across the board.

As for design the upcoming Huawei Watch is the first one to really catch my attention.

Dear God, not only is that thing butt-ugly, but as you said a couple of posts on, a shameless shot-for-shot lift of Apple's Watch launch promo - lots of rotating slo-mo, buckles fastening etc. They haven't even TRIED to disguise it.

The bands, especially their equivalent of the Milanese Loop, look suspiciously similar.

And just to add insult to injury, right at the end when the name of that godawful thing is displayed, they use a practically identical font and style as appeared on the box of the iPhone 4/4S.

'Shameless' really doesn't even begin to cover it ... so glad I'm not part of the Android ecosystem anymore

That's why Samsung release a phone after the iPhone 6 that is almost identical especially if you look at the bottom :rolleyes:

iP6 copies which Samsung exactly? And the Watch build quality is repeatedly said to be its best feature.

my orders just moved up again overnight, now showing 10-15th june :)
..... next week yay!
 
I actually changed my order from the 42 to the 38 after seeing quite a few pics of people wearing both (and making a little template of the sizes). Thankfully my order hasn't slipped at all!
 
So what date and what watch have people ordered?

I ordered 42mm Space Gray Sport, black strap on May 28th -Delivery 9-11 business days.

Seems fairly quick :D
 
Originally ordered the 42 on the 13th May (that was showing as a estimated 15th ish of June), canceled that on the 2nd June and ordered the 38mm Space Gray Black and that's now PFD with 10-12th delivery
