Yeah I play with the helmet view (ooh eer) but generally switch to look around cars and all that. I'll figure out how to get a video from the share feature to here at some point and see if that shows anything.

I've just discovered Horse Thief Mile or whatever it's called. Such a tricky first few laps but what a track. The twistier, tighter tracks are as much fun in something like the focus or clio as the faster cars.
 
First time racing the Lotus 78 Cosworth which is a nice handling car plus had a good few laps fighting for second place, only problem i had was the car was setup to much for corners and Road America is all about having that extra speed for the straights

 
On the subject of Formula-style cars, when does one make the jump into them? I was given a Lotus 78 championship early on and it just ruined me. I think I'm a long way off yet but they seem like such a jump it doesn't matter how good you are in the others.
 
Just started career mode tonight after waiting ages for it to arrive in post. I'm so bad. Even at karting I'm all over the place.

Nah it isn't you. The default controls for the steering is a bag of ****!
There is a post in here somewhere that offers a good profile for steering with a controller.
 
I found the karts a bag of pee to control on the pad but since I've changed to a wheel I can't drive them at all, all over the place. Managed to win every kart race easily but now I struggle to get round a lap without going off everywhere, no idea why!

Gonna make a new thread - rude to derail this one especially as its got a dedicated group of players. Knew it would interest most here though :)

Did about 10 laps of Road America, quite a tricky circuit in places. Only managed a 2:10 something but so much of the I messed up wasn't worth noting the time.
 
Had some great races on this last night online. Quick question: On the replays how to do get the smaller image in the top right corner like on the video above?

t1 and t2 are quite open so I am strggling to accurately spot my braking point. Also left hand under the bridge (not sure of t4 or t5) as it's a blind apex and rarey hit it.

It's done in Adobe Premiere i know it can be done with Roxio capture edit software it's just a pig to use if you have a Roxio capture device

Did a multi angle capture once for a Forza race which was a headache inducing nightmare :D
