What is the additional standard spec over a 3 Series that accounts for the extra weight then?

Not quite the weight point. XE SE has as standard over the 320ED.

Speed Limit display £220
Black Panel equivalent 5" display £140
Rear Armrest £75

I noticed you also get BluePerformance (EU6) now aswell....

3 Series has a rear armrest too. Not sure speed limit display weighs 100 kilo :D

Was listed as an option on the builder.... maybe thats for the 2 cup holder variant you get as standard?

The cameras for the traffic sign recognition weight -24kg on the XE SE: that's how much lighter it is than the 320 ED.

It's about as new as a car can get.

Unless Ford do a RWD Mondeo out of Europes largest aluminum body shop fitted with a UK designed and built engine fresh from a brand new engine factory in Wolverhampton?

Just about to leave for Stratstone Cardiff, to pick up my Grampa XE Prestige. I have to drop him down to collect this.

Will grab some photo's

Just drove it home :o straight into sports mode...

it's the prestige edition so i guess that's twin exhaust!!! ( ?) the 180 2.2. version he had to go for that option so he could upgrade the alloys he liked lol!

Looks lovely, bet your dad is chuffed! I had an S on order but changed due to a few reasons. Yeah just double checked, the 180 bhp have twin exhausts. The prestige is lovely, sat in one not long ago, the Windsor leather seats :D

Are they playing the BMW game with the front headlights? :(

Come on guys a 2005 Vauxhall Corsa had projectors as standard, this really shouldn't still happen on premium cars especially when it looks crap.

Great to see. That's the first customer car I've seen :)

Yeah the sales rep said this was the first car that he was aware of that has left any UK showroom.

I have just taken this for a drive around the Brecon Beacons - wow! phenomenal. The lane departure warning system is a really nice feature. I gave this a test tonight, it determines if the vehicle will unintentionally leave its lane, whereby you receive feedback through the steering wheel.

Yep. For the fifth time.... Thatcham group ratings. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

Not a fan of these, I'm sure they are great, but they're not particularly striking, and the back is downright boring to look at.

I honestly think the new Mondeo looks better. :p
