Removing my brother from the wifi of an evening.

just remember if you do this he may retaliate.

if hes evil i'd expect your pc to be rebuilt without any thermal paste.

can your dad not have a word with him?

Or beat the crap outer him

Dad doesn't live here and would let him stay up as he sleeps through ANYTHING!!

He doesn't have a brain, I build his PC, he plays it, it breaks, I fix it..

Is it just you that pays the internet bill?

Nope.. Well, I pay rent, which a little bit of could go towards the bill.. I don't know how they spend it haha

So I don't see how you can dictate when he has internet access if it's not you solely paying the bill?

I don't think the main aim is specifically removing his internet access, that would just be a side-effect to shutting him up, which seems fair. Better that than killing him horribly, which would be perfectly acceptable due to his ungentlemanly conduct.

mess with his HOSTS file so skype can't connect. Job done, he'll spend ages trying to fix it rather than talking on it.

Can be done remotely if you have the right local admin rights.

Jesus Christ guys! What's with all the passive aggressive, vegetarian nonsense?!

He's your brother ffs. If he's annoying, hammer 'im!

Wow this goes back, in a sense(not internet of course). Shared a room with my brother maybe 1980 - 1988. Parents had to install a wooden partition to stop the fighting, it worked, Then we moved and had single rooms, think he left home in 1990.

How the years disappear.

It's for my parents. They asked me to do it. They want to turn off the internet each night but that stops me watching Netflix. So they asked if I could kick him off, I did try account settings on his PC but that created a whole host of problems with installs and permission which was annoying.

Snip all the cables on all headphones in the house.

Headphones are an insult to music and they make people talk far more loudly than is nessesary.

Once he's 'open mic' he might realise what an abnoxious twit he is.

The countries gone soft, leaving home is the best thing you can ever do and the thought of ever going back just seems wrong, everyone at some point in their lives will struggle or need a little help financially but moving back home I just couldn't do it. But I guess people prefer to live the easy safe way, people will want wrapping up in bubble wrap soon to protect them from the dangers :p

Next door to me is also a girl in maybe her late thirties still living at home with her mammy and daddy, pathetic and embarrassing really :D :o

It's perhaps more pathetic and embarrassing that you can't see that people might have different circumstances and priorities.

I can not condone the use of an Android app called WifiKill.

Especially in public places like coffee shops when a group of people are sat around a laptop, using Skype very loudly to hold sensitive business negotiations there.

;)

You've got to be kidding me!

*Goes to closest coffeeshop in the morning*

This is going to be a lot of fun.

This is totally off topic, but I can totally sympathise with young people moving back in with parents, although like you say I've avoided it at all costs.

Without a good job it's impossible in many parts of the country to pay rent and save enough money for a mortgage deposit. House prices on my street average £343k and are nothing special. Saving enough for a 10% deposit while paying £600 ish a month on rent would take an average single earner decades. If moving back with parents cuts this to a few years it might make sense long term.
