Hi all

Just wanted to check preference for an AIO cooler for my 2 980 it's.

I can either grab the EVGA one, but it only has 1 year warranty, or I can wait until August and do hg10 n980 (2year warranty) and h75 (5 year warranty).

I like look of both, and I imagine both will perfom around the same. I'm just a bit put off from the low 1 year warranty for the EVGA Hybrid AIO.

There is also the NZXT bracket which supports a lot of different coolers rather than just their brands.

Chopped off 30 degrees in intensive games and 40 in less intensive games.

Forgot about the g10, how is it for VRM cooling?

How is nxzt with warranty? Dealt with corsair and evga in the past and know they are the dogs. Would nxzt cover the gpu of there are any leaks? I've read corsair will cover any components of damaged through leaks from their aio's

No idea about that but the chances of it leaking are really slim, run it outside of the case first to check.

VRM cooling is air cooled by the fan, you will probably want to buy some small heatsinks.

No The NZXT G10 is just a bracket. Its not a AIO water cooler so they wouldnt do anything about warranty if the AIO leaks. They do have AIO like the X41 which I have for my CPU and its brilliant.
With the G10 you ideally need heatsinks on VRM and if possible RAM.
Its the ugliest of the three but works a treat.

I think the EVGA one is too expensive but looks the best. I am going to wait for the Corsair one in August and consider that. Got two NZXT G10's and a Corsair H55 so I could try that but I think I`m going to wait.
The most important bit with these is the bracket and the cooling of the VRM's. Its a pity EVGA dont sell it without the AIO. As long as you have the bracket whether it be Corsair or NZXT you can then pick any of the circular pump type AIO's.
Also its best to try and get an AIO with long pipes for location and also consider 240mm AIO's too if you have the space. Bit overkill mind.

With the nzxt u will want to upgrade the 92mm fan as its rubbish and add heatsinks to vrms appart from that it performs same as corsiar.

Alsonote withthecorsair you need a reference blower fan as well.

Hi,

in Europe there are two years of warranty on that product.

It's brilliant for the price, shaving 30 - 40 degrees off for £85 (Bracket + X41) versus a full loop is extremely satisfying.

It's brilliant if you already have a decent cpu cooler and don't intend to crossfire it makes the temps more stable.

But when I went from auto to full loop it made a world of difference 10c lower core temps and 20c vrm temps.

The aios still suck at cooling the vrms.

Thanks all for the suggestions, I've decided to give the evga hybrid cooler a go, as to be honest I quiet like the slight gold colour and matches my asus z97 board. I'm just hoping in the future EvGA can release separate shrouds that cover newer cards.

Plus if it is 2 year warranty that helps a lot too.

These come into their element when you SLI. If you have the case space it makes a lot of difference. The cost for a full loop was just too much for me.
Two AIO with G10's including fans cost me £120. You cant get a proper water cooling setup for that money.

No obviously not.

I had a h100i & nzxt g10 with h55's on both mine and was better than stock fans but the custom loop makes the world of difference if u can afford it.

I love my EVGA Hybrids. Fit a dual slot perfectly (Kraken looks like it might need 3 slots). Cool the VRMs as well as the stock cooler (the stock cooling solution is left in place for VRMS)

For £85 in the UK, you can't go wrong with an AIO and a bracket. Custom loops will always kill any cooler out there, but unless you have £500+ to really get the quality you should be getting from a loop, AIO is the way.
