Which car to promote my business? Decals/Vinyl's will be fitted.

How? Said wrap on German saloon vs wrap on Ford Focus? More likely to take note when the wrap is on a premium car, not a car your granny would drive. I say German because what else is really premium except Jag/RR that's not German? Unless you're thinking of sports cars.

I have to take my hat off to you. There's not many people that can wind up so many people on an internet forum.

Just out of interest, did you ever get that X6?

Only other thought is what about a fully electric car, if it is going to be used for deliveries this makes things somewhat cheaper, and will handle multidrops well (not that it matters if its a lease). Branded Leaf :)

The range wouldn't be enough for a delivery car though. If you look at the range they say they got in the real world, it's only 80-90 miles. I'm a delivery driver and I've topped driving 90 miles per day on busier days.

Yeah I'm driving it now, not literally but it's my drive. Will be going to a new home aka the sis once my 350e comes.

But surely you could charge in-between deliveries? Just topping it up here and there, probably not great for the battery but its leased anyway!

Not sure how effective that would be though. On a busy day I'm just going into the shop and coming back out within a minute.

I don't go out on that many deliveries to be fair as I have drivers but as a car for myself not sure I could be bothered with an electric car especially as I tend to go away a few times a year for weekends! If it was just for the business instead of my own car I probably would as it shows me love the environment and all that stuff ;)

I'd advise that this will be a waste of time.

I'd rather go and make a whole shabang in the city centre with samples of samosas or something like that.

You want to get into peoples faces and drive them into your front door. Offer them quality food and service making you their new go to place when they fancy an Indian. Takeaways are more with mail shots and flyers in the local area. Offer something different to other takeaways etc.

The car advertising thing is a poor idea all around.

What's is wrong with people? I'll say it once again I ALREADY DO LEAFLETS AND ANYTHING ELSE YOU ALL HAVE THOUGHT OF! I will be purchasing a car for myself and want to stick decals on it/wrap it what's wrong with that?

I guess what's 'wrong' with it is that it likely serves no real purposes other than to expend money for the sake of it. It is not free to design a custom vinyl wrap and if it's not going to result in increased margin that exceeds the value of the expenditure required to achieve it then there seems little point.

The other downside is that your personal car ends up looking a bit crap. Which would be fine if it had real and credible purpose.

You are basing your car choice around a goal people believe won't be achieved - you want people to recommend a car that will promote your business when the reality is its unlikely any car is really going to do this for you as it just isn't that type of business.

Thats my guess on why everyone thinks it isnt a great idea.

I've made plenty of decisions regarding my business which people thought were bad ideas - yet i'm the only person to let this shop in the last 5 years which has changed hand 4 times to make it profitable. So if this is a bad idea I won't lose sleep over it let alone the relative small costs involved.

Plenty of good suggestions most likely be an Abarth or a Mini.

Mate, it's an utterly rubbish idea.

Especially when you annoy someone on the road and they decide to go a leave a poor review of the takeaway.

Just pay for leaflets and just eat!

Thanks for the great advice from industry experts like yourselves? And completely ignoring the question. All advice answering the question taken om board thanks.

This forum is so often so bad at answer people's questions. I'd go elsewhere on this one if I was you.
