Girlfrend not wanting to drive to me anymore !

My GF is often driving to my place to stay over and she is about 30mins away. I have a car but it's parked on my drive and when she pitches up she parks across it. When we go out we just use hers (either of us drive it) as she would have to move it anyway to get mine out. 4 months in and I've never taken her anywhere in mine:D

Went away for a few days recently and she drove too......nice!

I've actually known a woman exactly like this, not one I was romantically involved with but a friend of an ex.

If that's the only use for the car, say twice a month I could be quite confident in the assumption there are many cheaper options.

Also lol at people who think they're a "man" because they can drive a passenger. OP it's your lack of interest in making the effort which is the problem, not the car.

Except it probably wouldn't be the only use for the car. He'd find it convenient for quite a lot of other things too I would imagine. He lives in Somerset not London so I cannot imagine he has a simply stunning every 7 minute bus service from outside his house for example.
 
Maybe she is just badly hinting that she might want you to move in together? Kill the distance thing? Might be testing you to see if you are ready to commit?

Some of these comments are Hilarious ! Especially the ones with regards to my spelling HA HA , If you want to know I got a D in English so YES my English sucks I know but I can read perfectly OK :) , who cares if I can't spell because I sure don't .... :P

Not every bloke has a car and a new partner that comes in to your life can't expect you to change that , I am getting a car but in the mean time she will have too wait....

I'm sure he would find it convenient as would many. But convenience =/= cost, especially if this is the only "required" journey.

People are too quick to think a car is the be all and end all, and more amusingly that if you choose to use public transport you can't afford a car.
 
She's already lowered herself to seeing a pedestrian AND running around after him, you should try taking on some of responsibility of being in a relationship.
One day, you might even leave home.....
 
Sounds a bit unfair on her to be honest. Even if you offered to pay my fuel, sometimes I just can't be arsed to get out and drive. Share the burden or call it quits.
 
Get a car man, stop being silly. She's got a kid, you NEED a car these days (whats this guff about you don't agree with them? Some psychological fear of driving or somet?)

You mad if you don't want to drive, its cheaper driving than rip off public transport.
 
Since you don't have a car and she won't drive to you I believe this is the first ever time dumping by text won't be seen as you being a wimp. Take advantage.
 
Just say the relationship isn't going anywhere and leave her a nice "Somerset Special" to remember you by, ie poop in her glove box.

I think this largely depends on where he lives. I work in Brighton and driving would be far more effort, time consuming and expensive than public transport.

OP: Pulling up nonsense about an ex would be a red flag for me so early into a relationship. Unless you're utterly desperate I'd call it a day.

arknor: can't say I've ever seen stuff like that casually discussed on the forum..funny nonetheless.
