Yeah, I would be one of those non-twitterers. It can't be beyond the wit of man to have a message pop up in-game to warn people about downtime. Not everyone has bungie's twitter page or forums as one of their daily checked sites.

Also, not sure if this is just confirmation bias, but they always seem to do it during peak playing time for Europe.

I dont disgree. Its more anoying that the 6 hours is basically prep for TTK and wont show any benefits to users in the meanwhile. It is a sucky time for Europeans although I guess its a sucky time for someone, somewhere but would have been nice if they avoided the two main time zones. :)

I imagine the only in game message would have been an hour before or something rather un-useful.
 
How not to sell your brand in 5 minutes... Also I didn't realise it would be £40. I assume as an xbone user even some of that content is denied for another year... :/

Yeah, he didn't come across well in that interview. I'm going to buy the Collector's Edition regardless, because I'm sad like that, but Bungie are not winning people over with this decision to all but force existing players to buy the game again.
 
£40 for what amounts to 1/4-1/3 of the original game is pretty expensive. I have to give plaudits to the interviewee - no ****s were given :D, you cant say they werent transparent what you are getting neither...

Been a while Ive seen that style of interview - reminds me of Konamis UK PR twitter replies...

Shafted?...yea, they where pretty clear about that.
This game still isn't close to what was advertised and they are making parts up as the come along, now its this much for Digital DLC lol.

Also...remember when Bungie said they parted from MS because they wanted more control over their game...well this is what people got.

I dont want a new dance for £80!

Hopefully internet outrage and keyboard warriors will show Bungie and Activision the error of their ways. (perhaps not :P). Think I'd rather spend the £40 on Fallout 4 or another whole game instead though.
 
i don't care about the dance moves (well I do but not enough for another £50-£80).

What are they talking about with the exclusive exotic with XP boost?

So legendary edition gets an exclusive exotic which also boosts their XP? That could be worth the money as I hate doing bounties plus the exotic might be a game changer (RIP Gjallahorn).
 
If I'm going to break my addiction to Destiny, I'm going to need a replacement that has online co-op but I can't think of anything except Borderlands Handsome Collection but that has a fixed end so won't really cut it. Anything else out there?

New cod campaign? Not sure about current stuff...

I might buy TTK if I can find a good deal on xbox live credit.

That was always the way to do the bounty. 2-3 minutes per run, times 3. The alternative was to hang around certain patrol zones for 10-15 minutes at a time waiting for one to show up, a bit like the Wolves events now.
