Blue Suits

Ive 5 navy suits, 3 of them the same. I also have grey and black suits and a few pin stripes, which frankly very few people younger than 55 seem to wear these days!

well pinstripes can look OK on the older generation, some consultant in a hospital, some senior exec etc.. it doesn't look out of place particularly. Does seem to be a bit rarer on younger people and IME tends to be people who are a bit cocky - brokers etc.. or essex boys in back office jobs who want to pretend they're traders/brokers on a friday night

Blue and occasionally mid grey, especially in the summer, have been the norm for as long as I can remember.

Having spent the morning looking again, I've concluded that blue suits look a bit crap if your a larger chap. Which explains why I've not got any and never have.

Grey is the safe choice. Dark blue has been a thing for ages - close to black without actually being black :)
Are we talking light blue suits? Shimmery blue suits? Can't say I pay much attention to what people are wearing. I am a believer in 'Those who can't play the part have to look the part' :)

I'm assuming you are referring to bright blue suits?

Grey and blue are standard issue for formal suiting.

I'd be more confused about people wearing black suits tbh.

i prefer the orange

Nope, normal navy blue.

I'm not saying "omg look at everyone wearing stupid suits!" I'm saying that I've only just noticed that almost everyone now wears a dark blue/navy suit. Its probably been like that for ages, but I only just noticed it the other day when I was walking down a street and infront of me was a sea of blue suits, as far as the eye could see.

I dislike blue suits, the guy at work bought one a few years ago and i just don't think they look good. The other new trend is brown shoes.

brown shoes+skin tight trousers usually beige+striped shirt. That's the style i see all the time.

Thankfully I don't have to wear a suit at work (it would only get covered in animal crap and dirt from a construction site), but I have noticed even on my drive to work up in rural Cheshire that my fellow male motor companions do show a preference for the blue suit!

Dont like blue suits, they look too salesman-ish to me, pure black tends not to be good either unless its a really high end suit. Gotta be charcoal grey for me.

Bright colours on suits just look pretentious to me, if your gonna wear a suit wear a suit, if you're gonna be a butterfly dont wear a suit
