You don't need to be an expert to see Christianity or any other religion for that matter, is false and worthy of ridicule. What can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. No need for YouTube.

Why don't we ridicule Buddhists though ?
Or Scientologists ? If anyone truely deserves their ideas shoved back down their stupid throat it is the full retard Scientologists.

Christianity is only picked on because it represents our (parents?) culture, so it is just kicking back at the status quo.
In the same way it is cool to hate tories, or fox hunters or politicians.

To Atheists, all religions, including Christianity are equally idiotic and delusional. The reason you see Christianity as being picked on in this thread, is because it is mostly Christians making the hate filled intolerant posts. I find it ironic that a Christian will happily ridicule other religions while having similar idiotic notions of an invisible sky man, who listens to billions of prayers every single day and will grant them immortality as long as they believe hard enough.

If there was empirical evidence for the existence of God(s), then there would be no need for anyone to have faith in religion.

How exactly are Christians being persecuted? Having beliefs challenged isn't exactly persecution. The person being most vile in this thread is (allegedly) Christian.

This whole post is the classic "I'm not racist yeah...but..." Before saying something blatantly racist. You say you're not homophobic but then only if they play by your rules of how you think they should act.

Overly camp people are no different to meat head straight guys who feel the need to wolf whistle and shout at girls from their white vans. It's the specific person's personality that grates, their sexuality is irrelevant.

Gay pride is to show solidarity amongst people who are unable to live without persecution on a daily basis, straight people don't need this, so just be thankful for that.

You don't expect straight people to live in the small box that you define as acceptable behaviour so why should gay people?

Exactly, that is how I see it.

I know not everyone is open about such things, and I guess that is okay in itself. However, I feel it becomes 'unokay' when abuse, starts to happen over it. There is no need IMHO.

I had this conversation so many times with usually decent minded people, who cannot seem to fathom how their opinions are racist/homophobic/bigoted etc.

Have to agree. Despite being an active Christian I don't feel personally persecuted, I have my beliefs challenged but that's perfectly acceptable to challenge things that others don't understand.

I don't get why people would be against this irrespective of beliefs or whatever, it's nice to see that things are moving forward both in and outside of churches.

Second, free will? seems like you're not into free will if it doesn't fit in your idea of right and wrong.

You make it sound like gays have a choice.
You have as much choice in being straight as they have being gay, think about that if your small mind is capable of logical thought.

Your views are bigoted and uninformed, you're a clichè hateful religious person; there are many progressive religious people out there and you are not one. You can't even post without literally being wrong or being ignorant about actual truths.
