But in answer to the question - Yes, I own a 4 letter .com (also the .net) but I felt that using the domain.com as a business name was a little 2000's.
We have been using xxxx computers but did wonder if we should just drop the "computers" entirely, so that it's simply xxxx
At the moment cash is tight. There are people who will design and as people have said no, it isn't very expensive, but need to go into it with at least an idea.
You might own the domain but if you are going into business with someone else and bring the domain in it is no longer yours. It belongs to the business.

this was posted on here before: fiverr.com doesn't matter if cash is tight, you can still get someone to do the logo for you
Fiverr >.<
You're missing the point. A designer CREATES concepts and IDEAS, that's their purpose and their job. Somebody who takes somebody's idea and just creates in in a program is often known as a Mac-Monkey... not really a designer.
The domain in question is a four letter dot com. 1st Letter, 2nd Letter, 3rd Letter, 2nd Letter repeated
So it is easy to remember and it is also a "sound-a-like". It doesn't lend itself to "computing" or "IT" naturally, but I do feel it could easily do so.
I am aware of it's "value" - a fortnight doesn't pass when I don't receive an email asking if the domain is for sale. I always reply telling them that if their offer clears my mortgage we'll talk.
This wasn't an email about the business aspect. I know what bringing the domain into the business does, but I am also aware of what paperwork can also do and the statements written upon them and signed by interested parties
Once I'm "logo'ed" I'm happy to share the name, just holding back for time being![]()
Being as vague as you are is really not helping anyone.
