what will you wear if you want to hear Helm of Sain14, or Ruin Wings ?

The best destiny players will have multiple sets of armor and swap out for the ideal configuration depending upon what they are playing.

This is one of the reason why most people tend to collect all the exotics. Helm of saint 14 is definitely the go to defender titan piece, while Armamentarium is probably up there with the"go to" striker titan pieces.

try and collect as much decent armour as possible.

never scrap armour unless you already have a better version of it or are running out of space.

i have 9 chest pieces on my warlock iirc 3 of them exotic.

for example in crucible right now you want fast reload hand cannons or fast reload pulse rifles on all 3 characters on your gauntlets. you also want to max your intellect out (270).

so say you get 2 fast reload gauntlets and 1 has lower stats than the other you can scrap it. so what if you need to level the new one up it only takes a few games of crucible and a bounty or two to do.
 
Echo the above, to give an example, my Warlock was my first character and is my main character and I have
Helm: 3 exotics and 3 legendaries
Arms: 2 exotics and 4 legendaries
Chest: 3 exotics and 5 legendaries
Boots: 4 legendaries

And there is some piecies of armour I still want such as the ram helm. Seems a lot or armour but depends on if I am running sunsinger or voidwalker, whether running PvP or PvE. Some of it has specific uses to, like helm that regens health when you pick up an orb I only use in CE HM for example. My other two characters aren't quite so well off but still have multiple piecies of armour in each slot. Even with all the armour I have, I still wouldn't say I have a perfect set up so still aquiring new armour and slowly getting closer.
 
the exotic pieces with quick revive (crest of alpha lupi for Hunter / Titan & Light beyond nemesis for warlock) are great in PVP scenarios where revive is enabled like Trials of Osiris or skirmish.

If you get a new exotic always check it's stats even if you already own one. That way you can get insane int, disc and strength rolls which can make a big difference in pvp.

I scrapped a fully upgraded exotic piece the other day because the new one which dropped had like a +20 better roll on it.

Does Ruin Wings actually work? people say it's broken it takes ages to kick in and when it does drop heavy it drops too much. So you won't get heavy for ages then you will be overloaded.
 
Ruin Wings are I would say temperamental. You do tend to get nothing then everything all at once. The problem with getting everything if you also get more ammo per drop meaning a lot of the drops go to waste.

On the flipside extra ammo per every drop can be handy when you only get a couple drop.

Like you I have seen some very nice rolls drop on armour I already had maxed. IIRC I have had both an titan Chest and Warlock chest drop with 30-40 more Int/Dis/Str. Just upgrading them before I scrap my old ones.

Would be easier just to do the heavy ammo glitch.

That way your guaranteed heavy and pretty much straight away. Plus you can then use any exotic you fancy. Not that I need to any I have 100 heavy on each character plus 100 in the vault.
 
I've stopped using Ruin Wings that much, they were just too inconsistent. Ages with no heavy drops the ALL the drops at once.

In other news I used the Iron Banner glitch for the first time tonight. One etheric light in the bag. I normally totally forget about it.
 
Well its nice they haven't patched the rank glitch for Iron banner rank. :)

Assuming it works I can invite people to the world and they can glitch too or not?(xbone)

Ruin wings are trash, barely ever work for me.

RE: Etheric Light, have 30+ sitting in the vault with nothing to with them. :rolleyes:

You used to get a boat load from the chest in the Lighthouse. Bungie changed it in the last hot fix though. Silver & Gold package from Trials still drops one each + 34 & 35 prison every week, it soon mounts up.

I ascended loads of gear too, some that I've even sharded since.

Ah ok. I havent done TOO and POE is pretty boring not to mention the loot isn't worth it.

I really think theres a loot problem at the moment. The stuff in IB isn't worth it this time. The hopskotch pilgrim is a better legendary pulse rifle, the BTRD is a better HMG. The IB armour perks are vendor standard i.e rubbish. The best loot is still VOG and CE weapons and armour... (well ok POE armour is better if you want to keep playing POE but its a bit dull already in my book) Not to mention rubbish weapons.. :/ and TTK isn't out for a few months.


Yet I'm still kinda hooked on this game. :/

Totally agree, the best weapons and armour drops from the two raids.

Prison stuff is useless outside the Prison, funnily enough. The weapons are ruined with trash perks like Shank burn.

Osiris is where it's at for the loot at the moment. The armour set doesn't have any fantastic perks but looks very swag. The weapons are, for the most part, good solid PvP weapons that don't need rerolling either.

Finally managed to get an elemental scholar(scout rifle) last night, need to level the beauty up now though.

Dose Full Auto speed up the fire rate of slow firing shotguns like Matador 64 to make it more useful in PvE?? I'm trying to roll myself something good. I have the usual for PvP, Shot Package, Luck in the Chamber or Final Round.

I wouldn't waste a Matador or Felwinters on PvE.

Found Verdict, Invective & 4th Horseman are great in PvE and no reroll required.
 
Didn't want to waist an exotic slot on a shotgun ;). I did manage to to roll the Queens Shoty into a Void Found Verdict though and its good enough.
 
Swordbreaker, found verdict, astral horizon seem to have most PVE bases covered.

If you don't have one of them then just use your PVP shotty, who cares if you rolled it for PVP no point in having 1 for PVE and another for PVP with vault space at a premium.

I use my PVP felwinters and party crasher in PVE with no issues at all.
