Shenmue 3 - can you drive a forklift truck?

Fair enough. I guess I'd understand it if it was an Indie developer, but it's not (is it?)

Yep, Ys Net is a small team they just have permission from Sega to use the Shenmue franchise.

How do you know about new rewards?

And looks like those extra stretch goals have been removed.

They are doing a survey covering the new rewards. See HERE

There is also going to be a live stream with Suzuki-san at 3am so be sure to catch the VOD tomorrow!

Interesting new rewards. I see its passed the 4 million mark. I don't think its going to make it to 5 million with the time left though.

I think there will be enough of a surge as it nears the end to make 5 million there's been a bit of a spike since the ps4 physical copy was announced.
Personally hoping for 7.5 mil so the battle system gets fully fleshed out.

I'd love to be wrong, but I seriously doubt its going to get as high as 7.5 mill.

Its just passed 4.2, so that's another stretch goal reached. I'd be happy if it got to 4.6, but I don't think it'll get much beyond that.

Then Im confused why you think its only going to hit $4.6 million when the large percentage of successful gaming KS projects have a surge of funding near the end of the deadline similar to when funding begins. Bloodstained, Mighty No. 9 all show the same trend (both gained more than 25% of their funding within the last week)...

I gave you a link to illustrate my point too :)

ps3ud0

Man i remember my first time playing the original shenmue, It was such a huge step forward in gaming the experience it gave was something that's never been rivaled, No matter how much better games have got visualy and dynamically, it just doesn't come close to that same feeling and experience you got with the original, Its like getting your first car and taking that first drive by your self, Don't matter if it was a 950cc mk1 fiesta that feeling is better than the experience you get driving your new better toy.

I don't think the new generation have had such quantum leaps in gaming to get the same feeling, i mean what would it take theses days to blow people away? we expect life life graphics now, i don't see what can be done to give that same new mind blowing feeling but i would love it to happen again.

Doesnt seem to be speeding up that much in the final week. We'll be lucky to hit 6 million at this rate! Well i reckon it'll get 6 million but not much more than that!

What happens if come the funding date your card gets rejected for some reason? Do you get another chance to pay?

Funded! Now back to driving my forklift in the first game...

Just need to get past that mad fight at the end to finally play through 2 (on the Dreamcast of course)

It's a shame this lost momentum, I hope the game will still be epic. I wonder if Sony will make up the rest, for a price of course.

I need to pledge still, it kept rejecting my card.

Finished Shenmue 2 a few years ago. The job where you had to carry the books into the building had me tearing my hair out.

I've tried three or four times now and I always lose interest either there or just after.

If they release remastered versions I'm hoping I can finally finish it.

You should call your card provider. I got called by mine 5 minutes after I made my pledge. They were concerned it was fraud. Yours might be blocking it for the same reason?

I've not played either of these games and I'm scared to do so tbh. Without any nostalgia to hold up the experience for me I'm worried that I'll just be sitting here playing an ancient game which seems pretty rubbish by modern standards :D
