Super Southern Meet X (or 10)

Excellent, stick firm to your asking price? Awesome thank you kindly, will have an answer for you by the time you return, shall email through trust so you don't miss it :)

I'm sure they'll be able to knock a bit more off ;) let us know how you get on!

Yep the guy knew it was an excellent example so didn't even try to. Will post a thread once everything is finalised.

Was going to say the mpg on my jag is ludicrous. It's had a few tweaks on the engine and a piggy back ecu but the mpg calculator went down to 16 bloody mpg!!! Had a really good day though, it was good to see the villagers faces when they saw a complete convoy of prestige cars!!!

Haha yh, the best one was the lady on the horse who couldn't stop laughing for some reason when we all drove past :p

Think I averaged 28.5 for the whole day, which isn't too bad.

What is the Megane RS running at? I was following behind it on one of the routes and it did sound pretty sweet on what I assume was wot

Not too sure what power it is putting out, need to get it on a rolling road. Probably was at WOT coming out of junctions

Thanks all for turning up! obviously without you guys there would be no meets. I think after 10 I will be looking at moving it slightly to pick up some new roads, although we're a bit limited round here, but will do some digging around for next time.

Have you thought about the New Forest? Some lovely roads (a bit smaller and more technical) around there and it might be an evening thing so there are no tourists!

Only thing to be wary of in the New Forest (I drive along them from time to time) is that there are horses and other animals wandering around freely at the most random of times. Some days there's nothing in sight, other days it looks like they're migrating South for the season or something :p

I'm going with Vox trying to chat her up, I was wondering why we slowed to a crawl.

"Nice horse you have there! I have 401 under this bulge! :D"

Amirite?

Only you lot could have a meet to show off your cars and end up comparing fuel economy :p

It's a non essential amusement factor in such an event though! I'm surprised I still have a quarter tank left as of right now. I've done local driving on a full tank before and the tank was spent in 250 miles, that was with almost no hooning!

Managed 300 miles out of mine. Had to fill up today as i took it out again after i finally managed to give it a quick clean (day to late tho :( ).

I wouldn't do new forest due to the limits and the animals. It's not a safe enough area to run a meet. As nice as it is.

Considering no other motorist horned, or showed any sign of being "miffed" at us, I think everyone drove with total due care and attention and showed each other due respect - Which is exactly how it should be

Guess who's back, back again, Acme's back, tell your friends

Brilliant day that, met some great people, had some great conversations, and saw some truly fantastic motors! The roads were also good fun (if a little narrow in places), and the pub served some good grub to boot!

The A45 AMG was absolutely incredible, the relentless acceleration of that thing was brilliant. The Focus ST was also great fun to have a passenger ride in, and I was lucky enough to give it a quick drive too. It was nice having 250+BHP under my foot, even if only for a short while! I wish I had the chance to go out in the RS6 and the Atom... Maybe next time.

The drive was great fun even in my 54HP ensemble, I did have to absolutely cane it to keep up, which may have shortened the life of my already condemned car, but I think it was worth it... Some nice lift off oversteer on a few corners while following Ryan in the tibby coupé! :D

Wow that was lucky, most insurers don't offer DOC to under 25's any more...

Didn't realise that Polo driver Acme was under 25 .... Ah well , Tom (Focus Driver) doesn't care anyways as he is only 20 :D as him how much it is to insure himself on this Focus ST .. you will have a giggle. Then ask him again for the amount last year on Fiesta , then the cost on his 1st love the Polo :D

His own insurance wouldn't have covered him so I think he would have cared if it got binned lol.

I imagine the insurance cost is horrendous 2-3k?

He drove my car and I drove his car and we both drove around the car-park for a few minutes, which was fine as the car-park was pretty large. Managed to give it full throttle once or twice! He was talking about how he used to have a Polo and he misses it, so I handed him the keys, and much to my surprise he handed me the keys to his Focus!

We were both aware of the lack of insurance cover, but we didn't leave the car park, so no harm done. Just a bit of fun. You're not going to report us Fox, so stop trying to be a spoilsport! :p

We are both 20 year olds called Tom. Maybe we just got mixed up. ;)

That was a rather enjoyable day, had a fun drive back from the pub in the grey S6 with the grey RS6 & the grey RS6. Thanks to ianh & OCPete for the passenger rides, both incredible cars for totally different reasons.

Nice to meet you infrared, I'd be interested in popping round to get my navigation disk un-locked.
