SXK60 from FT arrived today.

Quite impressed really, tc works perfectly, no random resistance changes, nice and simple, also uses pwm! The display is the best I've seen on any mod I've owned, really bright, high dpi, looks very DNA like. Buttons are really clicky, but a satisfying click. The build quality overall is very good. Oh it also has a nickel purity setting (pass?).

The two drawbacks, one isn't something I've experienced yet but read about on the FT forums...the battery indicator to a degree doesn't work, apparently showing half capacity when the battery should be flat ~3.2v, some saying it will drain as low as 2.7v! So I'll have to be careful with that. The second is the menu, it's a right royal pain to navigate, lock device then a series of button presses to access certain parts - hold up and down for 3 seconds while locked to change temp for example, so could be simpler.

Other then that, for £37 delivered I can easily live with it.

Anyone else tried a Lemo2 with a nickle build.

Bought an Istick Temp Control today and ended up with an Atlantis V2 as well as my local B&M are doing them for £15 at the moment. I've got a 0.13ohm build in my Lemo 2 and its a very harsh vape regardless of temperature. The same juice and with a 0.2ohm Aspire Ni200 coil in the Atlantis V2 is perfect at 450f

The lemo was a very bad atty to use for a nickel build.. you really want an atty that gives you a direct to coil pin.. the more parts and springs; the more transfer heat and miss readings it gives.

It was my wicking on the Lemo2, I wicked it using Shake and vape rather than my normal Muji cotton pads and had too much cotton in there.Restiance has been pretty stable on it since ive had it to be fairUsing the Atlantis2 at the moment and going to order some nickel OCC coils for my Subtank and give that a go as well.

I've got 30ml of Red Astaire concentrate coming tomorrow. Luckily I don't need a trip to Boots. I'm going to need some more nic base soon though, getting low.

Funnily enough, it was 100ml of Red Astaire last night. Got my supplies in from Boots, and did another 100ml of Dr. Vapor. They are both generally my ADV's. But I have 30ml of Heisenberg concentrate on the way, hopefully arriving tomorrow, so will do a further 100ml of that too when it arrives.

I bought 2KG (almost 2L) of 72mg/ml nic base in a group buy around 18 months ago now. I was just coming down from 36mg/ml to 24 mg at the time, so thought I'd get plenty. I worked it out, roughly, at 18mg strength to be a few years worth. I'm now on 6mg though, (well, 7.2mg to keep the math real simple), with around 1800ml left, so should get around 12 years out of it left (assuming 4ml per day, which is a bit much, probably more like 3ml in all fairness, and if I went to proper 6mg it would last 20 years, give or take). Wont be needing nic base for a while. In fact, I should really sell some.

If you use China post it's around 10 days, I have one (the nextgen clone), it's never been used, I've taken it out of the box to look at and was going to see if I like it before getting the authentic, but never cba'd.

The hype for the nextgen has certainly seem to have died down, I have one in my basket ready to be purchased but decided to pass with it being a genie et. Al. But there's quite a few of them being used as trading tokens or to get a mod sold with it at RRP.. But they don't seem to be moving as fast as previous, give it two or three more weeks and your be able to get one cheaper than RRP.

I've downloaded an app this morning, works out how much I've saved from not smoking, even with my spending habits; I'm kinda break even looking at the numbers, not that I dare switch the computer on and run a report on my accounts program to see how much I've actually spent but the numbers look good.

I've got all the mods and tanks that I need at the moment, thou I may get a mini goblin for everyday use, but I do need to pickup some RDAs.. A mini haze and derringer is on top of the list... Not sure on the third thou; I might see what comes up second hand.

been reading through the reviews on fastech, most look to have plasticy insulators but one is pictured with a peek one so i ordered that, came in around £10 so it's no biggy if it does't work out. I always loved my gennies but i just lost interest in the faff, would be nice to have one to complement my other attys though.

I have not really had any inkling to buy anything else since i got the D1, it performs very well and wicks like a champ. i will say though with a week or so use in it the screws on the deck are a swine, i think they need filed down as they can cut wire like snips! I havn't used the subtank once since i got the D! though so that speaks volumes.


I just placed a order for more concentrates, pretty decent list too, enough custard to knock up about 350ml of nessie's nectar custard and a selection to try and recreate element pink lemonade along with some odds and sods to try out.

Jesus I'd forgotten how much pre-mixed juice was, thought I'd get some scopes as a treat, £20 for 50ml. Wowzers, I can mix 200ml for that now, if you buy it all yourself you can probably get triple that!

Decided to spend my money elsewhere. Vaping through my 200ml batch of Heisenberg at the moment, started off not liking it, but let it settle for 2 months and it's much nicer now.

Need to find myself a nice key lime pie flavour, really have a craving for some limey style pudding. Does anyone has a diy mix for it?

Running NI200 in my Lemo 2 at the moment and it's fine. Running a 0.08 ohm build with my modified chimney section (3mm holes drilled in the sides like the new Subtank RTA section). Lots of clouds and not bad flavour.

I picked up an Ubertoot clone yesterday. Build quality seems good and it vapes well. Flavour is excellent and it wicks like nothing else. Not really a lung hitting tank though.

Im running both the Lemo and the Lemo 2 with Ni200, both working great using Rayon with 25w and temp set to 190C. with 3mm diam coils at .13ohm.
Not a very warm vape but tasty and good vapor.

Speaking of, I'm going to give this another go. I'm sick of being chained to the smokes again, and I attempted a cold turkey give up and failed miserably. So I've dusted off the subtank and battery, ordered some coils and a selection of juices.

Anyone tried Digby's Mum's Custard and the Apple Pie/Cinnamon efforts?

Also slapped some Cosmic Fog in there, can't get enough of that stuff.

If MTL and pre-built, then the BC Silo is my favourite. Not NI200 but a really nice vape.
If you want a lung hitter that uses pre-built coils then the Subtank Mini with the NI OCC coils is your man. Also good with self-built coils. Not so good with MTL vaping.

The Aspire Triton seems to be making waves at the moment. It's great for both MTL and lung hits and has a good rebuildable section. Expensive though compared to the Subtank.

I think it's got something to do with the vertical coil system, they normally use res/no res wire...

Yeah.. I'm pretty sure I got some, it even says I've brought some on my site account, but I don't think I've used one yet.. lol could try tonight.. lol

I just mixed 150ml of Red Astaire so did a quick costing, even when taking into account the P & P for the RA it came to under £16 for 150ml. I think their premade is around £5-£6 per 10ml so it's a big saving.
