Super Southern Meet X (or 10)

Should we make it a Sunday if it would mean that more people can turn up? I know some of you guys probably work Saturdays for example. :)

Otherwise another Saturday would be good for most people I imagine. One or the other.

Does anyone want to take charge of this idea and start thinking about dates and times? Any weekend would work for me in theory. I'm personally happy to go to the same place again if nobody can think of a better alternative. The car-park was size-able, the pub was good, and the roads were great.

:)

I could do but I'm not as "involved" in the community as some of you chaps. I don't know much about the roads and potential pubs or meeting places we would want to go for. Unless we made it a carbon copy of the last one. :p

"Super Southern Meet X2" (because XI should be saved for next year...)

Would people be interested in one slightly more south-easterly? Don't want to infringe on Paul's excellent meets, and the roads around Rye and Romney are quite good fun.

Also considering doing a very early morning meet with the focus more on the driving, then finishing in a place for breakfast, although that might need to be kept off of the forums...

South easterly, and early morning are both big yes' from me, though if it is an early morning I think a Sunday would be preferred, as I'm sure people like their Saturday lay in after a week at work ;)

Only trouble with it being early in the morning and with the focus being mainly on driving, is that I'm likely to get left behind... :(

I can just picture it, I'll arrive at the location for breakfast just as everyone else is finishing theirs. :D

Would like a passenger ride in the MPS if possible though? :)

Sounds good , ill get the others to join ... they usually do what I say anyways :D

The member who had a CTR that fell down a hill wasn't it? I remember seeing the video and thinking  throughout.

Wasn't a Southern Meet incident mind.

Not quite.

He drifted wide on a bend and hit the remnants of an old telegraph pole causing him to crash. I think it rolled, but that was from hitting the pole, not rolling down the hill.

If anyone else has any ideas, let it be known in the thread. :)

Sounds like Vox might be up for organising, if not I suppose I could give it a go, or could work with Vox to sort something out. What say you Vox? :p

Acme , might be worth starting a new thread about it or something :D

May do depending on what Mister Voxination says. :D

I am not too hot on good driving roads or places to go for breakfast really. I would probably take us all to a greasy spoon in Sussex... :p

Looks like I've signed myself up for something here :p

Happy to organize, however am not a local so not too familiar with the roads/watering holes, and I don't want to copy SoliD's meets. Leave it with me, might just sort out Karting @ Buckmore instead :p

Do this, although I'd much rather do a meet, much less hassle with the money :d

Ah okay, sorry for some reason I thought you were local!

I can certainly give it a go, I know a few good roads around here, and a few good watering holes, but I dont expect it will be as good as solids meet, and there may be some exploration and follow the leader involved!

I do know a local greasy spoon called the Chalet Cafe where I have been year on year for motorbike runs, and I also have friends who run a Greene King in Shoreham next to the river. :)

I can recommend the Bostal road, and some of the roads through Steyning going towards London, but honestly, failing that you do have to travel a little way to reach other good roads. There are little gems here and there, but the trouble is, they are all connected via boring roads & dual carriageways etc.
