Fair enough, thanks for the info. Ran a undersized plate on my motorbikes for years and never had an issue with police.
Then why bother asking ? Just go do whatever you please and you may get pulled over, you may not.

Make sure you use strategically placed "screws" to make the letters look like something else. And have generic tiny text such as "BMW M Power" added to the bottom
They can look good IMOOr, get a set of manufacturers number plate surrounds off eBay.
My private plates says nowt but was on the car when I bought it, not a clue what it means or if its meant to say anythign (N5 ACN)
I'd space it how you like, you paid for the registration number. I see tons everyday which are mis-spaced, no one gives a ** Disguised swearing **. We will be getting our 2nd private plate in a couple of months, this one will be non-spaced all together. We've had the first one on for 2-3 months now, haven't been fined or stopped.
I just remembered, number plates which are mis-spaced, in a non-approved font, square plates, anything like that, are immune from speed cameras. I'm sure that's true.
If you can't afford a decent plate that you don't have to illegally space to try and make it mean something then don't bother. It looks absolutely retarded.
