If you look at the WHO data it is clear child abuse is more prevalent in some cultures and we know from crime statistics and data in this country it is more prevalent in some cultures and institutions and amongst certain individuals - the common component being those people who exercise power over children and who have the ability to prevent sanction against their actions.

You've taken a general comment and made it specific so I think we're talking at cross-purposes. You may be entirely without bias in how you approach the subject but that's not a universal trait so that is why I noted that it is sometimes an issue with people using incidents to tar whole groups with the same brush.

I've not said or suggested that there shouldn't be investigations and appropriate punishments handed out or that any group should be exempt from inspection and being held to account for their crimes. If you've picked that up from my posts then something has got lost in there and I can't have expressed myself well.

But the thing with multiculturalism is it's a trade. We get to sample their dogmeat kebabs and they get to claim benefits and rape our children. It's a trade.
 
Whilst you are all worrying about which fairy tail the pedos believed in the truly shocking part is that Bernardos children's charity raised concerns about girl A 7 years ago and told the police what was going on, and the police did nothing.

There will always be evil men, but when our law enforcement doesn't care about stopping them and still gets to retire on full pension despite the failure to do their job, that's when we are in real trouble.

Just evil men hurfdurf or evil women too. Child abuse across the whole board is more likely to be committed by women than men due to their nature as the main caregivers and the majority of abuse being emotional and neglect.

Was it just an expression or are you pushing a feminist agenda there?

Hopefully not the latter because that is just another example of a spotlight being placed on certain kinds of abuse whilst other groups get overlooked.

I'm not the one proposing bringing in the death penalty, others are in this thread.

Just advising that people consider all potential side consequences of fundamental changes to our legal & criminal justice system. What may satiate our short term desire for revenge has the potential to exasperate other issues, more-so if victims of family abuse (the most common) have to consider their testimony may result in the death of a parent.

What I'm advocating is greater study & an appreciation for the underline factors which can likely lead to child abuse.

I do believe some cultural practices will have an impact, but these need to be examined rationally with a keen eye for data & without us descending into bigotry.

I value positive social changes which reduce overall child abuse far more than my desire to see perpetrators of said abuse suffer & die.

This has to be the only way forward really.

Bringing in harsher punishments doesn't stop the abuse. It just makes everyone else feel a bit better after its been uncovered.

Sadly you are probably right, but this just sends a message that you have a 90% chance of raping a child and getting away with it. From the article it doesn't seem like these are just random blokes, I'm sure they could have got more than 6 of them.

I just hope they give them a long time in prison, not the ridiculous 4 years or whatever it was in the last case.

often see teenage girls hanging around with asian lads around here.

for example there's a lake near me I walk around most nights, usually at a weekend there's an asian guy fishing probably in his early thirties and 2 teenage girls probably 13-16 years old seem to go and visit him a lot when he's fishing.


could be harmless or he could be the boyfriend of one of them but I'm obviously not getting involved based on a racial sterotype

If you believe the actions of what people do can changes what is written in Qur'an or what Islam preaches then you clearly deluded.

Yes their are people who are muslims who are racist, but that does not mean that Islam is racist religion.

And Catholicism doesn't promote paedophilia but it hard to disassociate the two.

Culture and religion go hand in hand, and the ongoing anti-semitic attacks in Paris clearly indicate that many followers of islam are racist.
In fact the whole isolationist nature of the communities in Europe suggests the same thing.

Jews are pigs and white women are whores, deny that this attitude doesn't exist.

Tbh mate I'd say that % probably isn't that far off reality when it comes to child sexual abuse.

If anything it's probably the low side.
