Are some people deliberately ignoring the fact that the majority of abusers are from the Indian subcontinent? Doesn't that in itself point to a specific issue rather than a religious one which covers all ethnic groups?
I have yet to see gangs of white converts to Islam carrying out these crimes. Same with Arabs, Indonesians and so on.
Thankfully however I supported the PCC in Norfolk with the victims fund and support organisations know that it's a predominantly cultural issue along with traditional attitudes and the likelihood of white girls being more vulnerable.

Not really, all religions are down to interpretation. People are racist & stupid & therefore take that from largely incoherent & contradictory texts.
Is that a majority of gangs or a majority of people victims of child abuse? - they are not the same thing.
You are aware that a byproduct of this is a strong incentive for child abusers to kill their victims after to reduce the chance of getting caught.

Sorry but how do you know that. A murder would increase the chances of massive police intervention therefore ensuring capture? You can't say that with certainty can you. So it's your opinion - nothing more - unless you can adequately demonstrate otherwise.

I didn't give percentages, I said it's a strong incentive & yes it is an opinion (I didn't state otherwise, but one based off reading from many articles on this subject & other factors related to the death penalty).
There is plenty of debate regarding the dangers of higher death penalty use (people with nothing to lose on the run), the penalty will not prevent the original crime - but once the perpetrator deems themselves to possibly be likely to get caught, it adds an additional risk.
Because as we all know, in nations with the death penalty for certain crimes - these crimes never occur.

I didn't say it was an absolute outcome. Just a larger one than it driving more abusers to murder.
Because you posted "Are you aware ..." then I read that as you were suggesting it is a fact. Are you aware is something I would use to enlighten someone to something that is a fact that they don't know about. If I was offering my opinion then I would use maybe "have you considered".

I don't know if there's any evidence that the death penalty has a deterrent effect and certainly not a strong deterrent effect (except for those who suffer it, then it's quite successful as they don't usually commit more crimes).
By all means be for the death penalty if you feel it is a merited outcome for whatever crime gets you riled up but in most cases it appears to be out of a desire for some form of state approved vengeance rather than because it's evidentially backed as being effective so let's acknowledge that.
Not in relation to your post there but I would note that child sexual abuse occurs across all races, religions, ages and socio-economic classes as far as I've seen the evidence to show so to pick on any specific grouping as being more culpable than any other seems to me to be rather missing the point.

I'm actually generally not supportive of the death penalty. As you say whether it's a deterrent or not really is in question. From what I've read there's very little evidence to suggest it is - in most cases.
The trouble is we don't know whether it would be a deterrent for crimes below the levels of premeditated murder or not. Generally if you're willing to take a life you're a special kind of starfish anyway so whether you can truly contemplate the outcome of that action is questionable.
However...if you know you'd get nothing more than a slap on the wrist for a minor crime you might be willing to risk it for the gain. You know on the other hand that if it risks death it just probably isn't worth stealing those pokemon cards!
