Is that like the things you squeeze play-doh through, thus ending up with a horse **** brick?
Where do you think the saying "**** a brick" comes from?

The tax is based on the pollution you cause. Anything below a set pollution limit including horses and vehicles pay zero tax. You do not pay tax just because its a vehicle some vehicles are tax free due to low pollution. So horses are being treated the same as vehicle.I meant tax for their horse, like the tax you pay for your vehicle.
BTW Do they even pay tax?
Sometimes you don't have a choice when going from A to B. Most riders try to keep off main roads but we don't have permission to go over all terrain. Some famers let us, some don't. So roads are the only option at points. Have you every tried going 15, 30 or even 50 miles without going on a road at lest a little bit?I don't have a huge problem with horses but I think they should make an effort to stay off busy main roads, also why would you want to go on a road when horses can traverse a variety of terrain?
I don't have an issue with horses on the roads, I'll hold back, give them space and go past slow. It's when they don't acknowledge you or give a thanks as you pass when it winds me up but then again some people do lack simple manners, but that's for another thread.
I just treat them as other slow vehicles and rev/go as high as I need to in order to pass them. If the horse can't handle a bit of engine noise and a car going past them at the speed limit then it's the riders fault for taking the horse somewhere where it's not comfortable.

No, horses do not pay tax. Not even under a Tory government.
Because you've done what the law says someone should give you thanks?
Or you could just not be so selfish.
That's all relative. The same sentiments could be said for every horse rider who holds up traffic, perhaps they could be less selfish? Or the person on the motorway going 56mph, maybe they could be less selfish? What about that gap that I couldn't take because I'd have to rev/go too "fast" which means the person behind me has to wait even longer? Now I'm being selfish to them. At the end of the day everyone has their own agenda and is "selfish" in relation to someone else's perspective.
It's selfishness, no matter which way you try to spin it.
