Why can horses just **** everywhere?

I meant tax for their horse, like the tax you pay for your vehicle.
The tax is based on the pollution you cause. Anything below a set pollution limit including horses and vehicles pay zero tax. You do not pay tax just because its a vehicle some vehicles are tax free due to low pollution. So horses are being treated the same as vehicle.

Plus did you every stop to think that many roads are designed and originally built for horses. Some roads even have more horses going down them then vehicles.

I don't have a huge problem with horses but I think they should make an effort to stay off busy main roads, also why would you want to go on a road when horses can traverse a variety of terrain?

Sometimes you don't have a choice when going from A to B. Most riders try to keep off main roads but we don't have permission to go over all terrain. Some famers let us, some don't. So roads are the only option at points. Have you every tried going 15, 30 or even 50 miles without going on a road at lest a little bit?

One should instruct one's butler to follow behind and collect your mount's output for the walled rose garden.

I don't have an issue with horses on the roads, I'll hold back, give them space and go past slow. It's when they don't acknowledge you or give a thanks as you pass when it winds me up but then again some people do lack simple manners, but that's for another thread.

I just treat them as other slow vehicles and rev/go as high as I need to in order to pass them. If the horse can't handle a bit of engine noise and a car going past them at the speed limit then it's the riders fault for taking the horse somewhere where it's not comfortable.

Absolutely, no matter how much they flap their hands around telling people to slow down.

Or you could just not be so selfish.

Because you've done what the law says someone should give you thanks?

And you think they don't?

As has already been mentioned, most horse riders want to avoid paved roads as much as possible. Unfortunately so many roads and tracks have been paved over the years in the UK it's practically impossible not to ride on a paved road for at least a short period of time.

That's all relative. The same sentiments could be said for every horse rider who holds up traffic, perhaps they could be less selfish? Or the person on the motorway going 56mph, maybe they could be less selfish? What about that gap that I couldn't take because I'd have to rev/go too "fast" which means the person behind me has to wait even longer? Now I'm being selfish to them. At the end of the day everyone has their own agenda and is "selfish" in relation to someone else's perspective.

It's selfishness, no matter which way you try to spin it.

There's no spinning anything, as demonstrated everyone is selfish so all you're doing is stating the blindingly obvious for no apparent reason. It's just a fact of life that people look after their own interests. Even you my friend are selfish.
