I don't understand this. Much like I don't understand the Calais strikes.
This is over them working nights isn't it? Keep the day drivers, put them on shorter contracts and employ night workers willing to fulfil contracted hours.
By the sound of it tube workers have had it easy until now. It's a tough job but the world is a 24/7 world and has been for decades.
One way of striking I heard about is to keep everything running as normal but take zero money and they will listen more then.
Or am I completely missing the point as I thought this was all about night workers which pretty much every industry has nowadays??
