***The Official OcUK Lego Thread***

I want that Wal-E now!!!

Anyone know the exact release date?

Seems Lego hobbit stuff all went end of line while I was away for a couple of weeks, irritating, my wife still had several pieces left to complete the collection.

Any suggestions for our of the normal places to buy box sets without the current end of line markup fleecing that's going on?

Going to answer my own question

ARGOS, the lovely people at ARGOS online delivery, have all remaining pieces at a 25% special offer discount, so hopefully the order arrive as planned :)

These are clearly targeted for the kids, simplified in both design and costs.

So are all the other sets, doesn't stop them being superb for the most part. Those look like they have been designed by people in their lunch break from proper projects.

My son will like the new figures, I just hope there are better sets to get them.

Not a fan of walle. One of the few pixar films I didn't like but that is a lovely looking set.

I mean older UCS lego stars was sets are more like ornaments for display, you build them, you stick them on a shelve and admire them. They even come with a display stand too.

These are more toys, you play with them.

Yeah I'm sure they haven't had much time to design them and it shows. Minifigs look great though :)

I still wish they could do runs of figures in the series bags with a Marvel or SW theme. They would clean up with a SW run, even for army building. Anyway new delivery today...

Why let you collect such iconic figures at £2.49 a pop when they can make you spend thousands on sets so you can 'collect the set'. :D

I remember naively wondering if it was possible to buy just the Fellowship of the Ring when the LoTR sets came out, then doing the maths of how much it would cost by buying all the sets. Sad times.

:(

They could still do runs of them and have alternative suits that would never make sets. There's a stack of marvel stuff they could do without ever worrying about upsetting sets. Star Wars I understand, they are not allowed to sell them individually as they don't own the rights to sell figures so come up with the battlepacks.

I haven't seen that Final Duel set before, it looks pretty cool!

Finished the F40 last night after 2 sittings, great set :)

While I was in the Lego store I saw a completed Imperial Shuttle for the first time in person, was bigger than I imagined for a set costing (relatively) little. Can't wait to get that. Can only imagine how awesome the UCS version is, doubt I'll ever see that though :(

Now I must prepare my wallet for Wall-E and the next minifig wave :o

I have placed the last order for my 10179 build :)

I've sailed way past my goal of aiming for a build cost of 10p a piece and it's ended up at 15p! Still it's done now and just have to wait for the orders to arrive before I can get on with building.

It's all in a cardboard box at the moment and the weight is a surprise.

I'll get some build pics up once I start.

Finished breaking down all the Lego for the house move.
Will rebuild it all when we buy (renting first)

Any ideas what the Millenium Falcon (7965) and an X Wing (6212) would fetch?

I have got quite a lot of Lego as I am a massive fan. I have well over 250 sets collected over the years ranging from the 1980's stuff to present, cant wait till I get my loft converted later in the year so I can then transfer it all from my parents house to my new house.

Here are a few of my more recent sets:

Here is a small selection of my older sets still at my parents house:
