Many many of us survive adequately without being forced to support wars, thank you.
Indeed, who wants fit military trained chavs on the streets.

Forgive my apparent ignorance, but what you're talking about is the TA right ? Part timers who like guns ?![]()
The TA doesn't exist any more, and to be fair it was quite heavily involved in Iraq and Afghanistan so I would be loathe to call those people 'part timers'. But yes, essentially. Although national service is mandatory of course.
But then, why does national service have to be explicitly military in nature? We could put people through a standard bootcamp to mould them, then offer them the chance to do civilian work also: Cleaning hospital for example.
Sounds like OP is an assault magnet. Must have one of those faces you never get sick of kicking lol.
A few years ago I got attacked walking my dog by a gang of youths. I managed to smack one of them in the chops which caused them to back off whereby I was stuck in a bloody field, in the dark and in the pouring rain with no real means of escape. Verbal ensued for about fifteen mins before me deciding "sod this for a bunch of soldiers" and walking off a different way.
Tonight almost the same thing happened again, in a different area, with similar related scum: but this time they were "tanked -up" and attempted to set their bull -mastiff/ Presa Canario on my dog. More verbal but very close to getting my dog ripped to pieces![]()

Not quite. Over twenty years weightlifting experience etc.
So this thread has derailed into "who's the most alpha" then.
Goody gumdrops
Of course it does, it's just had it's name changed to The Army Reserve.
Still exactly the same as the TA though.
TA, AR, same thing different name.

Try and be less pedantic, maybe your reputation could improve that way.![]()

He'd be better of talking to the speaking clock.
Throw in West End too. Basically most places within the ST4 postcode.
What relevance does this have ? A kick in the nuts and a sucker punch and you're down fella, searching for your teeth in the grass. LoL at weightlifting !!!![]()
I went on a course in the army with someone from Staffordshire, he was a bit simple - he had a funny knot for a cap badge, it looked a bit like something you'd buy from Greggs - 'Why do you have a Pasty on your cap badge mate?' we asked... he bit right away... so for the rest of the course he was refereed to as 'pasty head'
Anyway the impression I got from pasty head was that he'd basically grown up in a very chavvy town.
