
Scary would be the plague or a world war.
It could be argued we're in a world war against Islamic fundamentalism. Also I don't agree that crime isn't scary - many people here will have taken the train from Paris to Amsterdam and an incident like this will inevitably make people think.

Holy crap! C4 news reporting that two US marines were on the train, heard the gunman loading his AK-47 in the toilet and tried to overpower him when he came out. The two marines have been injured but with the help of the other passengers they did manage to overpower him.
No, right now people in Britain are living in the absolute pinnacle of human civilisation. It drives me mad when people constantly put down this country - try reading some history instead: everywhere in the world was utterly terrifying up until only recently.
We know fine well whats in front of us and there is no stopping this hate train now.
