Wow - Miesha Tate bypassed completely by Dana as it's been announced that Ronda Rousey will defend her title next against Holly Holm at UFC 195!!

Bet Miesha isn't too happy about that!

although im disappointed for (dat ass) Miesha...
do we really want to see Rousy v Tate 3??
personally i dont see the result being any different from the first 2 fights.

Wasn't that impressed with Holly Holm in her last fight, but I can see the appeal of putting Ronda up against another different challenger rather than Tate again. I'd expect Tate would definitely be next after that though?

Tbh I wanted to see Rousey vs Tate 3. I haven't seen much of Holm but based on what I have seen I don't think she is anywhere near ready for Rousey. She'll get utterly demolished.

For the love of god please let this fight happen. I've been waiting for YEARS. The situation with both of these fighters has changed a lot since they were initially scheduled to fight in 2012, but I'm still totally hyped for it.

Considering that Dana White went so far as to confirm that the winner of the Eye/Tate fight would get the next shot, I'll bet Miesha is seething!!!

I've seen Holm twice now and both times she looked decidedly average - a questionable decision against Pennington and a pretty poor win against Reneau should not earn a title shot!

I'm not saying that Tate will do much better than before but she's far more deserving than Holm imo! (and she's the only person to even take Rousey past the first round!)

Maybe Dana has got something lined up as a consolation for Tate - coaching TUF against Zingano leading to a rematch maybe??

Good old Dana - no better explanation than "we've already seen Rousey vs Tate twice" - fair point I guess but it smacks of yet another decision made and executed with zero regard for the fighters!

It's like he's a kid in a candy store - just has ideas pop into his head and he goes off at a tangent with no thought of the consequences.

Fair to say he's not your typical CEO! :D

Burkman Vs Cote was a good fight, well worth a watch.

Which judge scored the Silva and Magny fight to Silva? Must be Doug Crosby up to his usual antics.

Holloway was a bit of a douchebag in the main, not only starts unloading on a guy who is holding his hand up, clearly injured but then celebrates like he just knocked someone out.

It's ON! JDS vs Overeem December 19th!
Until it's off again... ;)

Dos Santos was scheduled to face Alistair Overeem on May 26, 2012 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena at UFC 146.[45] On April 4, 2012, the Nevada State Athletic Commission announced Overeem had failed a pre-fight drug test.[46]

Dos Santos was expected to face Alistair Overeem on May 25, 2013 at UFC 160.[52] However, in early March, Overeem pulled out of the bout citing an injury.[53]

Jokes aside, I remember being super-excited for this bout when it was originally announced back in 2012; now not so much, but it should still be a fun contest.

Yeah, I won't be shocked to my core if it gets cancelled again!

That said I can count the number of times I've been impressed with Overeem on the fingers of one hand so I'd expect JDS to pick him apart tbh!

Dana White is turning in to a bigger tool than he already is. He publicly gave Tate the title shot and then inexplicably took it away. So what if we've seen Tate/Rousey twice already? She's the number 1 contender for a reason and personally, I think she's the only woman in the division who can come close to beating Ronda. She's the only one who's taken her out of round 1!

Rousey and Tate have real hatred and Tate is the only one who has managed to get in to Rousey's head. I think a 3rd fight would be great. Oh well, look like we'll have to settle for another walkover against a boring Holm.

JDS v Overeem is happening 3 years too late.

JDS isnt the fighter he was (and in no way should he be expected to be given the wars with Cain and Stipe) and Overeem is hardly setting the world alight.

3 years ago I'd have said JDS takes it brutally in the first, now its more of a toss up but I think JDS is still the more durable fighter and will be able to withstand all but Overeems best shot, where as he just needs to clip the Reem and he'll drop.

I think giving it to Holly is just the UFC's way of hyping up Ronda even more. This is an easy with for Rowdy again. The new supporters of her will get hyped and want to watch her go against the lovely Tate again. Got to remember Rowdys bringing new viewers so they haven't seen the match ups before. Dana's tasted the hype gravy train in dragging stuff out. To be honest though as much as i love seeing Ronda fight, i'm not really hyped up about this fight.

I just don't think Overeem is going to do this.
