Advice for a younger you

Don't waste years of your youth chasing after women who have friendzoned you (as the term didn't exist at the time).

Buy up ALL THE BITCOINS.

invest in smt called google/microsoft
move to Asia 10 years earlier! (ie straight after uni)
do not get involved with J or you lose 4 years of life
do not obsess over A for 2 years..waste of time!!

everything else cant really regret.

The cake is a lie.

Lost disappoints massively.

You don't win the lotto, don't bother trying.

Avoid OcUk forums.

Or dont just for to uni for the sake of it. Go to uni to get a career you will enjoy not just to make money.

no i had a mental break down while there (unrelated to the course) and tried to kill myself.

so i think it was a path better not walked.

Girls who act crazy are good fun, the one's that are actually crazy should be avoided.

So don't, under any circumstances get involved with Carol The Lifeguard, Thrice Sectioned Sue and Very Married Emma.

Talk to the girls you really like, get out of the UK to do a degree and then emigrate ASAP, son't smoke or do drugs and save your money and invest it wisely. Stop regretting things you can't change. The end.

I think "live and learn" - you need to live to learn so in that respect there is nothing major I would advise on. Otherwise, little "tips" to make the most of the different lifestyles I have had over the years.

Chose a different career initially?? Maybe, but I wouldn't want to risk not having my wife and son!

It would be interesting to see those with quite poignent bits of advice to then add the why? to it.
I'm interest to hear what happened to the guy who lept the 2ft wall to falldown 20ft the other side.
Or the advice NOT to ride the motorcyle on the 2nd day of fence painting.

As for me......."do not clean Darren's SLR mags with his bayonet (just because he is using the proper tool). It has brasso on it....and is gonna change your life"
Reason: In 1987, i got a mahoosive infection from above mistake, ended up being MD'd from Royal Marines, 9 years too early. :(

ho did you get an infection from brasso?

instead of blowing my student loan, (which I have fully paid off) through PAYE, I would have done something sensible with it like used it for a house deposit.

Do everything again up to the moment after my son was conceived then finance myself up to the eyeballs and beyond and buy as much property as I couldn't afford.

Go to Uni, you are clever enough. All those years it'll take before you are qualified will go past way quicker than you think.
Don't let other people be reckless with your heart.
When that really nice guy you thought was too good for you asks for your number, give it to him.

That said, I have some truly amazing people in my life who I love dearly. If I changed things they wouldn't be. So, instead tell my present self, make the most of the time you have left!
