The price of Lego is just madness.
I bought the LEGO Technic 42000: Grand Prix Racer set from amazon for £60 delivered, built it and displayed it for a year and sold it on ebay 8 months later for £55. Some kits even go up in value, so the cost is high but it's not money down the drain.
So tempted to buy a flagship Lego Technic set - used to love building them as a kid, but have been in the dark ages for about 20+ years since. Anyone felt the need to scratch that Lego itch but then regret it ? For those wondering, I'm pondering set 42009 ( mobile crane ), set 42043 ( Arocs truck ) and set 42030 ( Volvo wheel loader ). Quite like the new blue crane crawler too ! Not that I'm thinking of buying all simultaneously ... but that would be cool![]()
Seems to have cheated a little - the weapons look like they're taken from the Mega Blocks Halo sets...
Impressive but whenever I see these sort of builds it makes me wonder why they didn't go down the proper model making route. Good quality ship models can fetch a lot of money and could possibly be cheaper to construct than forking out a fortune on Lego.
