Looks like its that time of year out here - outside for 10 minutes, covered in the little blighters! :mad:

Time to hole in for a few weeks until the little buggers die off - hate the things!

Thunderbug/Thrip/Corn Fly/Storm fly

Millions of names for these things. They're tiny and will end up behind picture frames/inside your monitors if you have a lot of them.

Thank yourself lucky it wasn't what I caught thumping about a light shade last year....

I cannot remember what it was. Looked it up at the time... It was like a beetle but flies maybe about an inch long/1 - 1.5cm wide. Prominent gold markings on the side of the head down the black body like a V of some sort. Strange looking twig like things from the head. Said it can bring on horrible side affects if it bit you.
