Gender Pay Gap

Alternatively it is because it isn't seen as masculine to talk about or show your feelings so men tend to bottle it all up. Those that do express feelings get called special ********** by those that can't.

you'd be amazed how much women put down men who they don't see as "real men" when they don't think theres men around.

I believe the main reason for this is women leaving work to have raise a family and when coming back they accept lower pay. It is like they ignore all the pay rises they would have had over the last 5 or whatever years and accept marginally more than they were on when they left work. That is sufficient to pull the average down overall.

In addition to the reasons in the article about different jobs that is.

why would you be given pay rises for the 5 years you didn't work?

you come back after 5 years you Havant done anything for the company all that's happened is you've gotten worse at your job, out of practice and things moved on without you.

Men make up 80% of nearly all suicides. Wonder why this is? maybe it's because we don't get a pat on the back and told what a special ********* we are when times are tough. We're told to suck it up and nobody really cares because you don't have a vagina.

make up 95% of work place deaths too.

awaits burnsy with his man feminism.

isn't he a cop? Don't blame him.

Brainwashed by all pc garbage shoved down their throats. The police are being crippled by it.

Man loses job, woman leaves him. Woman loses job, nothing really that bad happens. How many times have you heard a marriage break up because a woman lost her job?

Pretty damn rare. This is nothing to do with men trying to be masculine. This is purely to do with how society treats men. You know what I do when my buddies have a tough time? I give them a damn manhug. Because I damn well know they won't get it anywhere else even if they looked.

That too. It will take quite a societal change for it to get better, but the first steps of it will get labelled as stupid PC garbage such as trying to remove gender stereotyping on toys.

Yep agree with that, I don't think we can blame that on equality.

You're missing the point that they aren't rejoining the company they left. They devalue themselves relative to the market, men don't as they don't take career breaks as a rule.

someone who hasn't worked in 5 years is pretty low value compared to someone fresh out of another job regardless of gender.

we can still mock the metros who use moisturiser and wear skinny jeans though right?

woman get preferential treatment and later in life men with a work ethic and hustle take over them (or they get pregnant and take time off work which men also can't be blamed for)? Like student grants in engineering for only female students. How is that fair? lmao. I'm sick of this equality ******** when really it's the other way around I think some days....don't know any places I can get grants for being a man.

Then they complain and shout feminism.

Sounds about right.

This too. Sorry to offend but at the end of the day money doesn't grow in trees for some of smaller companies they cannot afford to take such a hit. Just because they decide well i'm bored now time to pop out a kid! you better cough up.

That is just not the way life works. I want to become a male stripper.... but I'm not good looking enough. DISCRIMINATION I TELL YOU!!!!! no? it's just the way it is. I don't have a 6pac and an 8 inch dong.

Planning devil's advocate a bit, but I don't think it's very healthy for society if you have to pick between having a child or being able to work/having a career. It then ends up being only the rich or those able to get benefits having children.
I get that small companies suffer when female employees have children, maybe the government needs to help them out more, but a lot of couples would struggle with only one earner.

but a lot of couples would struggle with only one earner.

I'd go as far to say that couples would be richer with just the man being the breadwinner. He won't be getting equal female level pay.

The most amazing statistic of the past year (produced by Aviva) shows that 1000s of mothers who go out to work are, in effect, working for nothing. The cost of day orphanages, travel and other work expenses cancels out everything they earn.

Why can it not be the man who works for nothing?

Is child care only paid for by the mother? Does the family unit as a whole not pay for the childcare?

I went part time to look after our children after my wife went back to work (I had the more flexible employment at the time) and left work entirely two years ago. I'm now the primary carer and house maker whilst studying for my degree*

*PS I love it - a womens best kept secret is how awesome being a stay at home parent is! It's not hard at all, I take the Westfield out for drives all the time, go for bike rides, watch **** daytime tv, I have time for hobbies now, I can shop for nice food at decent outlets etc.

It's easy just to call people trolls and akin to other people, then go onto mention agenda.

Ah the ironing, or not in this case. :D

This is true, but then again I don't get suspended for posting videos full of swearing by toxic well-known MRA's, do I?

Pardon me, I have my ironing to attend to.

Simple cost benefit/ analysis should tell you if its worth it.

Only thing I would say is me and my gf are on the verge of moving out. She loves to work and is doing well in her career. I think she will want to carry on working after maternity leave. Full time. Unless we are financially worse off.

Now the uber long term would be in effect we have both had full careers and would be on similar money. The disposable income as a family would be very nice compared to one bread winner making everything in life easier.

Now some would argue money over spending time with your child? It's not that simple imo. For the gf to go back part time would be a nice option, however not always available. My gf not having that 10-15 year career break, in our views, is more beneficial for the family in the long run.
