Only there is no prospect of Islamic government ever ending up at the same place we did. Leaving Islam carries the death penalty in many of them.

We're not talking preaching hell-fire and damnation, we're talking actually being executed by the state for leaving your religion.

Plus these places for a large part forbid education, forbid technology, etc. Try having any kind of progress in such a place. They will stay backwards /forever/, due to how oppressive these regimes are.
 
Imagine being the kind of person who generalises so broadly about regions covering thousands of miles and millions of people. :o

Wonderful, this is exactly what we want, hostility towards the UK to intensify running up to the referendum.

Also Germany and Austria now threatening the UK over refugee crisis, this can only further fuel anti EU sentiment. :)

Though it might have been if we didn't ruin it, Afghanistan and Iran were both more evolved (culturally) in the 50's than they are today, had we not destroyed them they would probably be on the same level as Brazil/India/China today.

Neither of which have exactly good cultures, imo. Everyone knows about the problems rampant in each of those countries, don't want it here either tyvm.

that law used to exist here so surely that justification for murder based on nationality?

Point is twist3d, it took Europe and the west 2500 years to evolve to the point it is today - bringing in these archaic ways of thinking en masse that our ancestors finally eroded will destroy all those years of tireless efforts.

It is simply naive to think these people will just assimilate in such numbers.

It'll be super Europe, where we're all brains that float around.

No, as I've already said, I'd rather them not come here and I'd like us out of Europe. But you can't just assume the ME will *never* evolve.

thats an intersting point, by the time theyve developed to a level thats equivilent o europe today (assumign they do) what would europe be like by that point, would the difference be even greater or less.
 
The thing I find saddest about all this, is that the lefties shouting the loudest that we should be helping, doing more, etc and moaning that nobody cares about drowned children. Don't seem to realise that those drowned children are on THEM, they were the ones two years ago who were shouting the loudest that we didn't need to get involved in Syria, the was no need to prevent a humanitarian crisis, it was all lies, etc and moaning that it would just turn into another Iraq and they should be left to sort it out themselves.
