so because she's not destitute and has better options once here she has to jump through more hoops. makes perfect sense.
as it stands i guess il be leaving in a couple of years unless i can bag a better job or she can get a job that will sponsor her visa. chances of both at the mo aint looking great.

Yes, really, there's a gigantic fruit farm not far from me in Hints, Staffs. There's an entire Polish community living in small caravans out of sight on the farms land. They pick fruit daily. It's basic accommodation but clean and frees up housing for local native Brits, I'm all for it.
Or adopt the Australian immigration policy, that would be even better.

honestly been trying to do it without having to resort to silly things but as time goes on this is the sort of stuff we may look at. just have to see what happens over the next 12 months.

Hmmm, this is far more popular than I had imagined, just noticed signature numbers have gone from 47000 to 49000 in less than an hour, encouraging stuff.
Up to 51,000 now - another 2,000 signatories in just over an hour. I haven't signed it btw, though I agree with the sentiment the wording is not quite right for me.

Yeah - Blackpool's a **** hole - I wouldn't imagine many refugees being settled there (tehy'd be better off in Syria). Blackpool has quite a sizeable Polish population though. It has barely any Muslims - only one mosque - you'd love it Scorza, filled with nice honest British

C: Blackpool has a lot scum - prove me factually incorrect. Sure, it has some nice areas (Herons Reach, Regency Gardens, Bispham/Norbreck/Anchorsholme seaward side, Norcross) but it's mainly pond life.

I read this thread for a laugh. Seriously.
I was born and raised in South Ribble mate and still have family there - I know how much of dump Blackpool is, and I'm sure I wouldn't like it since my preferred football team is from another "crap town with a mosque" not so far away from B'pool
Where do you live then? As far as I'm concerned Fleetwood and Cleveleys are basically still Blackpool and Lytham is only a marginal step up.
