You think you're going to get a referendum?

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah!

I take it you're laughing because you're fundamentally opposed to democracy. Because, as we all know, you think yourself enlightened, and the rest of us too stupid or "defeatist" to be trusted with making decisions.

This technocratic society you keep advocating... that's one where the "enlightened" make all the decisions isn't it... a bit like a dictatorship, but apparently justified by claiming that those who make the decisions are the best and brightest...

So you'd have absolutely no problem taking away democracy, under the guise of knowing best.

Their claim for asylum in Canada was denied.

Do you say it was mis-handled because they didn't get what they wanted? The sister then told the father to go to Europe for a better life, and to get his teeth done.

So what part of that is not economic?

Turkey failed to issue them an exit visa and also failed to grant them official refugee status (no one is sure why, but the authorities agree it wasn't because they weren't "refugees") - that's why the claim was rejected.

So yes, mishandled by Turkey - which is why many refugees don't stay in Turkey because they have no faith (quite rightly) in Turkey processing them correcyly. Same applies for Greece and Hungary.

You really need to stop basing your knowledge on Facebook posts.

The great thing is we'll all be the ones wiping up this mess, well I won't because I will get out of the EU.

Wish I could. Meanwhile I'm stuck here while europe takes a dive down the crapper. Maybe I should camp outside the US or Australia's borders until some bleeding heart liberal lets me in with free accomodation, food and benefits and says "welcome to our country! You're all welcome!"

To be honest with you, I would have said no before, but now looking at the way Europe is pressuring people to just open their borders I'm more willing now more than ever to vote yes.

That my feeling too, I'd only ever looked at Ukip before as bunch of nutters but they're starting to look increasingly like the only sane alternative to U turn Dave.

Well that's a great argument for what Cameron is doing then. Give help and resources to Turkey so they can do more, and do better. Absolutely no need to just bundle all these migrants up and bring them to the UK (Germany, etc).

Convenient that you claim Greece and Hungary also cannot process applications "correctly". Let me guess, only Germany and the UK are capable of that? Very convenient.

I don't want to turn on the news any more and see more religious extremists running around Europe. Because that is exactly what they're inviting in. I think people should be helping yes but not at the cost to your own citizens and I don't think just opening your borders is the right way either.

And truth be told I really have a feeling deep down that I don't see this working out in the long run. I really wish I could get entry into Australia (Even though my uncle lives there it's still damn hard). It may not be perfect but they seem to understand unlike any one else the problems that arise from immigration and bringing in a culture which opposes the native one.

In other news, tents are not good enough for African gimme-grants it seems. Soon as their feet have touched European soil they start making demands. Impressive.

Absolutely agree. I think we should send army personel to ensure security as well and also send intelligence operative to root out and ISIS moles.

Not what I said. But we do all know how efficient the Germans are. personally I think it's a ploy by Germany to fill thier manufacturing jobs vacancies - I wouldn't be suprised to see the German economy take off in the nxt year.

They've probably been told we all live in mansions, and that we'd put them up in 5* hotels :p

Their clothes, including jewellery, iPods, etc, do not make them look like desperate refugees to my eyes. Leather jackets, fashionable trainers... stuff that many Brits probably don't have.

There is a clear need here to separate these people from legitimate refugees.

I cannot wait!

These kind of actions should lead to asylum being revoked.

The deal should be: come into our country, be safe, and abide by our rules.

Start committing crimes, and we no longer care about your safety. You had your chance, now leave, go back to your war-zones.

The idea that once they're here they are protected and can't be removed is allowing this kind of thing.

Can you imagine this going on if the threat of being removed from the country was hanging over them?
