**** The Official Note 4 thread ****

Its one of the best roms going through. They do great work. I use there custom Kernel on my stock rom and its great. Overclocked to 3.1 too for some extra juice if you need it.
I was tempted to try there s6 edge ported to the note 4 rom but really don't feel like wiping everything.

What's the battery life like whilst overclocked?

It's very good. I don't really notice much difference from stock speed when it comes to battery life. The latest kernel increases battery life even more so it's definitely worth checking out if your rooted. Makes my phone fly and you can always Down clock it. It's definitely much much better than the stock kernel.

:( tried installing 5.1.1, went fine but I accidentally installed the wrong Xposed zip. Now I can't ADB sideload nor will TWRP see any zips (specifically ROMs) I put on my SD card.

Think 5.1.1 has issues with finger print scanner on note 4. It works but phone takes a while to come on, then phone goes all weird, this is with both Italian and German 5.1.1 before and after full reset, back to using pin now.

(complete stock)

No problem here at all with the finger print scanner, and I used to hate it with a passion when I first got the phone.

Anyone using Xposed on the new 5.1.1 ROM?

I couldn't get Xposed to work on the odexed/untouched version and Package Disabler won't work on the deodexed version.

Downloaded the latest version but all I get is bootloop even wiping cache/dalvik cache and alternating...still trying though ;)

Don't know if this will help, but Wanam has an unofficial version out which *may* work for you. I've had no issues to date. Download zip's 3 and 4 :D

That's the one I tried, cheers :). I would rather be able to have a functional Xposed than Package Disabler so I will stick with deodexed/Xposed. I can freeze/uninstall what Package Disabler would do with Titanium. My phone was soft bricked most of yesterday :o but all good now. The battery life looks good so far, 90% left with 1hr SOT (what I was getting with KitKat).

Had to replace the camera lens on my note 4 today. Smashed it, wasn't dropped though, don't know how I managed it but fortunately they are very easy to replace. I've got it in a spigen neo hybrid case now as well. Didn't want to but less chance of it smashing again

Got sick of the random and unknown wakelocks I kept getting on 5.0.1 so decided to flash the latest CM12.1 this morning. The speed and smoothness is just joyful!

just bought one of these.

what are some of the best cases?

anything i need to know or should get?

already got a wireless charger, take it that works as standard and i don't need to buy a fancy back like i did with the s5?

Nope it's not supported as standard. You'll need to either get a new back, or an add in card to make it work.

Wtf even my 2-3 year old nexus devices support it as standard.

Why are Samsung so behind the game in that regard?

Care to point me in which direction is the best to go?

Also last time I bought the "fat" wireless charging back for the S5 it made my case no longer fit.

I take it's the same with the note 4?

At the rate Google are going with Android I'm already finding iOS tempting again. Their OS releases and battery bugs are just getting more than an annoyance.

I'm enjoying life on rooted KK but really want to try 5.1.1 but the reports of no real difference on battery life put me off.
