People often say that as if all Chinese lights are created equal. They're not :p Some have terrible build quality and will fall apart in weeks, some won't hold a charge for more than 30 minutes, some won't be any brighter than lights you can find at poundland. If you've found some that are reliable and that you want to recommend then by all means, recommend them.

Quite, as with any product, check the reviews, and do the research. But as someone who has had a number of both brand name and Chinese torches, I now almost exclusively use Chinese units. The only exception is a 6cell D mag (LED converted) that I keep in the car, as it runs on big D-cells and can happily sit behind my seat for 2 years and not discharge!

The Mrs' car has a Sky-Ray King, and I have a newer model of the same design as my go to unit in the car. I also have some single 18650 chinese lights, which are superior to the Lenser products I have had.

The only lenser product I still have in regular use is a small AAA cell unit that I gave to my son for playing with!

So in my experience, Chinese cannot be beaten for pure value for money!

Check out the chinese bike lights on Geek, or dx or ebay.
Cheaper, and bright for the money.

I have been using my dual cree cheapy for night rides in the woods. I have actually just ordered another, thinking about helmet mounting that one, or just using the battery pack as a spare for longer rides :)

Both together were cheaper, and I could order a third, and still be cheaper than that Evan's jobby.

Got a linky?

they're not bad but they're never real 2000lm, the cables are crappy all over the frame etc! I did run the two cree 1000chinese lumen torches for a year and they did the job but they were less bright than my single 200lm front from moon lol.

Haha, Chinese lumens are special lumens :D

Divide by 4 or 5 and you have a realistic figure :)

I run the cables down the main tube, and mount the battery on the rear of the seat. Couple of rotations around the tube and they are well out of the way and secure.

As mentioned, research loads if you want to save money buying Chinese. I went through 3 different Chinese 'torch' style K5 Cree LED's (I think they were K5's) and rated at 3500/5000+ lumen the light was bright but totally unfocussed making my 100 lumen cateye better/safer to ride with... They chewed batteries too, 3xAAA Duracel not lasting a month of commuting. I've still got 1 I couldn't send back that I've kept as a spare and use when walking the dog. I'll only use branded lights now.

You may be able to find an adapter to fit the Sigma into a Garmin mount... Or even a way to fit the bar mount onto the top of the garmin mount - zip ties are your friend! ;)

Roady - Have you got a photo of how the garmin gps and virb mounts onto this? Hard to visualize from their photos.. can't work out how the virb actually sits.

Need to decide between this and the standard Virb handlebar mount. I could place Sigma's mount on top of the GPS mount or just leave sigma mount on my stem.

Odd question.. but how should leg warmers fit? How far up the upper leg should they reach? I can barely fit these over the bottom of my quads.

Mine go up to the top of my thighs so I can pull the legs of my shorts over them

Leg warmers for me extend up to just above where my shorts would come, but not too far! You don't want em to go all that way, they should just be there to fill the gaps that your shorts aren't filling.Probably have an overlap of 2 inches when I wear mine on my shortest shorts.

You what!!! You're joking. Lost luggage??

Yup. The idiots at Bastia airport didn't load antibodies large luggage items and there were loads of people who didn't get their bikes and one poor lady who didn't get her wheelchair. No idea what she had to do to get home. My bike is with a courier service for delivery, maybe tomorrow. Is ultra annoying but at least my bike wasn't the only one they didn't load onto the flight and its definitely not been lost thankfully.

I was certainly not in a good mood when we were told that there wasn't any more luggage to come through on the carousels.
