sticker residue removal

The only thing you need is lighter fuel. Lighter fuel is one of the few Materials that God declared would be Magic. Like Blue Tak.

Lighter fuel will melt most glues, greases or other organics, and will dry very quickly leaving zero residue. So apply to the label, let it soak a bit, then pull it off. Then wipe the rest with a paper towel.

Use acetone only for stuff you know is safe, acetone can melt a lot of things.

Wow,Lots of suggestions,Cheers folks!

I actually have some of that Citrus based CPU cleaner,Also have some Olive oil in too..will give it a try tomorrow and report back.

Thanks!

Furniture polish will also do the trick if you have nothing else to hand. Heat will make any sticker peel right off if you warm it up enough.

Soaking in water/water based liquid will soften the paper and allow that to be removed when soft enough.

However the glue will be resistant to water and will likely just smear messily.

Using a solvent such as white spirit will not do anything to the paper but if you let it soak through the paper it will dissolve the glue underneath and allow the whole lot to be removed cleanly.

TBH for most grease and sticky crud removal white spirit will do it. Be aware that it may dissolve more than just the grease so be sure the underlying material is fine with solvents on it.
