Maybe a tax move.
You don't pay much tax when you aren't making a profit
Grow up, it is getting terrible in this sub-section. Where is all this hate.
Most threads are speculation on here, like a lot of the DX12 ones you jump in when the cause suits you.
Wow look like it confirmed AMD spin off GPU division formed Radeon Technologies Group.

It will be interest in coming weeks to see how will Microsoft and Sony reaction and how spin off company will affect APUs in PS4 and Xbox One.
Possibly more to it - Charlie seems to think so:

My point is too many people jump in AMD threads to have a go at them, make fun and generally troll and bait AMD owners. That's what's terrible in this sub section. It does happen vice versa but a lot less often.
Nvidia is all about now, not the future.
NV talk more about the future than AMD.
We have to rely on tapeout leaks to get any info about AMD's next stuff. NV started talking about Volta years ago and it won't be out until 2018 maybe.
Thats my point, there are no threads on volta being 4x the compute power than the equivalent amd card.
That doesn't make sense... really not sure what this "point" of yours is.![]()
Nvidia have more solid information based on Now. ( except the 970 vram )
Solid information you say? Do Nvidia cards support hardware Async Shaders? Simple yes or no please.![]()
