The labour Leader thread...

I just received this from Conservative HQ; cropped but you get the idea.

I love how Middle Englanders have taken the media spin on Corbyn hook, line and sinker, despite more economists supporting his general economic direction more than austerity and Osborne's.

Because economic policy is all he's about...

Personally, I am more concerned with his sympathetic views towards people I'd be happy to see dead.

TBH. All of the people saying they'll resign/refuse to work with Corbyn are the worst of New Labour anyway. A bunch of mouth pieces for careerism and spineless puppets for neoliberalism. Good riddance.

The PPE Oxbridge crowd have to stick together... How else would they get into the leadership of what is supposed to be a workers party otherwise.

This is a good thing and even the right wingers should be pleased, he completely sidestepped the political and media elite,

no matter how they tried subvert this election to many people voted for him, if you believe in democracy then this is a good thing even if you don't agree with him.

Laugh it up Tories. Corbyn will most likely gain the support of the young and of those who don't usually vote as they didn't see the point. By giving people an actual alternative he could convince a lot of people into the polling booths.

Invite them for a chat and a cup of tea then, see how well that goes.

I can assure you their numbers are declining, thats kind of what happens when you bomb someone.

Except the bomb also moves more people to their cause against the west, be they relatives of the fighters or relatives of the civilians that were killed (accidentally) at the same time. This happens regularly with the US's extra judicial drone killings.

People used to say crap like, "if you kill Osama Bin Laden ten more will pop up in his place".... well that hasnt happened.
Never heard of ISIS?;)

1: Osama Bin Ladens death was a tragedy. He should have been captured, tried, convicted and rotted in a jail for the rest of his life. That would have been justice, not the quick death the Americans granted him. Which incidently you'd know was what Corbyn said if you'd have bothered do some research into that "out of context" sensationalist headline says.

2: I'm not even going to bother with the second one - it's been done to death already as another mis-representation.

But yeah, Corbyn is going to have to prepare for the biggest media assault on a politicain and character assaination we've ever seen.

I doubt very much he will survive it, the media are brutal in this day and age.

I do think it's a wrong choice of leader though, he's going to get destroyed by the media.

Loving the Tory scaremongering

George Hincapie out in force I see :D

Would have preferred to see Creasy as deputy, but Watson was my second choice and he is a capable pair of hands, pretty much the only person i've seen standing up against government surveillance and is actually in touch with technology. Still, hope Creasy gets a spot in the shadow cabinet.

Steady Ed got thumped by the media too. It's part of being a Labour leader in a right wing media circus. I'm sure Jezza will cope. ;)
