kill it with fire or set it free?

Kill, any let up in the policy will only encourage more which might result in a pregnancy which could mean indoor born hordes engaging in an insurgency requiring massive use of flame throwers.

Release it obviously. Can't stand it when people needlessly kill things when it takes only 30 seconds to pick up and put outside.

Depends if it's a pest or not, big spiders I tend to catch and release outside, small spiders I leave ( I have a buddy over by bed for the past 4 days, don't mind small spiders), I see them as pest ( read as mosquito) eaters.

Fruit flies, mosquito's or carpet beetles (etc...) immediately die though when I see any, I'd nuke them from orbit if I could, ****ing parasites! I wish i could exterminate them all in one go.
However, I have killed spiders occasionally, if I cant catch em or they start moving erratically, I panic, and usually use a big piece of toilet paper to grab them, kill them and flush them. I often feel a bit bad about killing it but I see some big spiders as a threat.

In keeping with GD standards you should initially run to the forum to vent your disagreement. (Which you have, phase one complete)

Next step is to worry about how having the spider in your home will lead to rioting and possibly terrorism, and decline of British culture.

Final step is to remember when you finally have to interact with the spider, keep a true GD tradition alive. Pretend you never disagreed with it arriving in the first place, and how you're generally accepting of spiders in general, and there must only be a few bad spiders spoiling it for everyone.

Or option 2: find it's house and poo through its letter box

When I found a false widow in my shed, I took a picture and let it be.

Trying to prove I don't mind immigration into my back yard.
I did however assess the migrant based more than just the colour of its skin. It was clearly not radicalized, and was willing to integrate into the existing arachnid population.

It also Got itself an effective job of preventing hobos from setting up in there.

Must be a sleeper cell arachnid then, #GD

I would seek at least a county level evacuation, to be sure, and then we need to close the borders to these people....I mean spiders. We are full, send them back....

fill sink with about 2mm of water. put spider in glass. put open end of glass in water. open plug. bye bye spider.

optional extra step: pour bleach down after it.
