The EU Migrant Crisis

Germany should be mindful that they do not push eastern bloc nations back to Russian influence, while NATO can survive without them, it would be a major degeneration of local ability.

Idiots, we need rational people at the helm, not bleeding hearts.

They were in detention centres...:p

Anyway, source on that? (And no John40 saying so doesn't count :p) as migration watch says the total figure includes enforced & voluntary removals (voluntary once removal has been initiated) and enforced numbers have dropped since 2004 while voluntary have increased.

I can't imagine many people in detention centres were allowed to just walk out the door to voluntarily deport themselves....

I don't have a source as it was a question :p I suppose it depends on what the definition of "enforced" and "voluntary" in this context. I can't imagine any illegal immigrants in the wild complying with a deportation order - how many times do we hear about cases when an illegal immigrant is charged with a crime and then fails to show up at court?

How many of those deported appealed and won?

Does that matter, that's the amount who left

another piece of information about the removals

Figure 5 shows that, by region of nationality, the largest numbers of people removed in 2014 came from Asia (22,549, or 58.2% of the total), Africa (6,032; 15.6%), Europe (5,694; 14.7%), and the Middle East (1,920; 5%). Note that these figures do not include people refused entry at port and subsequently removed.

and I still can't see anywhere where it says they were all held in detention centres (especially since the asian ones will be people overstaying their visas)

Yea, it was more John40 and Duese I was asking for source, since they seemed so confident in answering your question ;)

Speaking of Yarl's Wood (note: corrected spelling), I found this: http://www.yarlswood.co.uk/

Look at all those happy, smiling illegal immigrants awaiting deportation - and their happy smiley guards. I bet it's a lovely place.

Or could it be they have rules which state they only report on things that are fairly well-substantiated/beyond all reasonable doubt and not idle gossip that makes the front pages of the Sun?

Him being a "people smuggler" is an accusation that has come from one person who was a mother of one of the Iraqi children killed, there is no actual evidence of it beyond what she's said.

In terms of him already being in Turkey for a year before they tried to cross the sea, well the BBC didn't hide that either.....

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-34143445

Oh really, do tell me why they made it look like police shoved that woman onto the train tracks in Hungary?

Then when the video came out a day or 2 later (an amateur one) we see police had nothing to do with it. Someone I quote who saw the news story then the video later said "that's disgusting how can they report it like that". If I recall. It is actually earlier in this thread if you want to go dig it out.

Also mentions nothing about the house / job he had.... And he didn't only flee "last year" he had been in turkey longer than that. "Fled to turkey" isn't exactly the brief detail I was looking for. My points still stand until the BBC can manage to do accurate reporting.

They apparently don't report idle gossip. Well don't worry they've complete fabricated ******** so far, so it's good of them to keep to that rule.

Either way, I don't blame someone for wanting a better life. We've seen very little coverage of negatives, people in general are starting to notice this when they see riots of them smashing up Greece and not a word is uttered.

Please tell me that article is a joke?
So you don't deal with the sexual harassment but instead say wear more clothes and hopefully they'll leave you alone?

Sadly and very worryingly it's no joke and it will only get worse and it's not just there, In my town where I live we use to have a huge decorated tree every christmas but because some muslims moved into the area we aren't allowed to have that tree in the city center anymore as it's an insult to allah and most shops aren't allowed to decorate their windows as muslim residents the year before last started smashing any shop windows with them in.

Wasn't this a few years ago, where is that?

Be honest, none of this is true is it? Hear it from a mate of a mate of a mate that doesn't like Muslims? :D

I'll take "things that never happened" for £5000.

Did you read the whole article ;)

I was half way when I wrote that (and i'm doing work on the side), I just glossed the pictures first and first bit of article and assumed people were now riled up over them taking the **** about something.

I'm used to it now, it's a bit of a knee jerk reaction I admit. We'll see something then the offence brigade will instantly be out in full swing.

Edit: I stand corrected people are still riled up anyway (however I do agree it is a little bit on the side of poor taste).
