hi guys

i purchased a 951 m.2 pcie for my asrock extreme 6 for windows and games. its only 240 gig but it full.

i purchased a cheaper 512 m.2 sata drive for the other sparem.2 on the board and i want to use ot for games only. can i transfer the game files form the first drive to the new one? i did partition the 1st drive and its got a 100 gig games drive on that and rome 2 i had to stick on the windows bit.

any good software to do it? or is it a case of saving the game saves and reinstalling it all?

You create a Steam folder on the new drive, then do a simple copy paste from one drive to the other. Then, uninstall the games from the original drive and install in the new drive. Steam will see the existing files and just do an integrity check.

Be aware though, you need to have free space on the destination drive equal to the game you are going to install (integrity check) or Steam will complain that there's not enough space on the drive.
