Just picked up the legendary edition and doing the awful up and down download at the mo!

Doesnt cheesing this exotic weapon thing ruin the game a bit though? I havent a clue as never even had 1 before just seems like it takes away from a big part of playing the game normally?

Dont know if i will restart fresh or just carry on with my level 20 from the end of the base game!
 
Got a Monte Carlo. The first and only exotic weapon engram I have had, everything else was armour. Seems pretty good though.

I am really impressed with the Taken King. There seems to be so much content, quests and strikes etc. The missions have more variety and the story is a story this time. Can't wait for more.
 
Is it better to save exotic armour engrams for other characters? I've started to get armour for my warlock which I already have.
 
Destiny Year 1 starts by shooting into cave for engrams. Year 2 starts shooting into a room for engrams. ;)
I hate farming this way, but its there so I may as well take advantage of it while it is here. I do hope Bungie patch this quick though. A 5 min timer on the 3 of coins maybe.
 
Games all updated and ive just booted it up and loaded my level 20 character, and am now overwelmed! What do i do lol? Ive found someone in the tower for the dark below quest line so should i start there? Its only level 10 though?

Gotta start somewhere. :D The Taken King doesn't open til level 25 so just do whatever you are given really.
 
That's the Eris quest line. There is something called spark of light which boosts you to level 25 but I can't remember how I got it. Do the darkbelow quests if you want to. Not that great but worth playing through. House of Wolves is better. The TTK quests are great. They've certainly listened to the criticism and expanded the story in a really cool way. Up to you either way. There's so much for you to do.

Yea i have the boost option but think i will use that on another class if possible? Just trying to remember how to play! Cant see an option for any house of wolves quests but maybe that happens after what im doing now?
 
If you are unsure how the Court of Oryx works, don't do what I did. Unsure how to use the summoning runes, i thought i might have to use them form the inventory... not paying attention, 5 seconds later 16 Reciprocal Runes dismantled :(
 
Try visiting Petra in the reef and see if she has the House of Wolves ready. She should do if you've already completed the story once before.
 
I feel like I'm really cheating with this cheese now!!! I've spent the vast majority of my strange coins on "three of coins" now and my haul is:

That makes 24 year 2 level exotics.

I've spent all my strange coins. Just running through the 75 three of coins now and that will be it. I will have to save up in case Xur has something next week that I won't have.

Not doing very well with the weaponry though. Only got Jade Rabbit, but I love it. Could rival my Bad Juju as my favourite weapon at this point. Anything that saves you ammo is good in my book. :p
