Hard to say really, it sparkles like a piece of jewellery. The combo of the sapphire, stainless steel, and weight just come together to make it more special.
 
My missus new Apple Watch came with 1.00 software and every time I got to software update it says unable to check for update. Anyone else had this? Very frustrating.

Been like that for the last 3 days she has had it. Tried rebooting, even thought iOS 9 on her iPhone would sort it but nope.

Yeah, I can see why. When I saw the the in store, I preferred the SS Space Black over the Sport Space Grey, so I ended up going with that.

Even on my child like wrists, I am genuinely surprised how well the 42mm fits, as well has how comfortable it is. I only have the sports strap at the moment, but I think I'll also get the black leather loop as well soon. If they brought out a dark metal Milanese loop, that'd be awesome, as that is the strap I want most, but the silver doesn't work with the black.

Really happy with the watch so far, looking forward to OS2 being fixed and released now.

With regards to update, I can't say, as mine came with 1.0.1.
 
I still really like my apple watch since I first bought it, I got the 42mm space grey sport using the rubber black band, I did prefer the look of the SS but I really couldn’t justify the cost increase for something I was a bit unsure of.

I use mine quite a bit from using apple pay, using it for boarding passes at airport or eurostar, replying to texts, used it for phone calls, quick glances at my calendar to see what I am doing for the day or where I am meant to be. The main use for me is the workout app. Sure some say it’s not as accurate as a proper gps but you know what it does the job well enough for me and includes the other features you wouldn’t get in a gps watch. As I travel quite a bit overseas honestly the apple watch really shines. It automatically changes the time zone I am in, but also I having maps on my wrist makes getting around so much easier when I get lost :p to me it’s far better than walking around with my iphone out. I can have a quick glance at my watch see which direction I want to be walking and go.

I love my watch I use it far more than I thought I would and would not part with it..... that said I still feel they are still a bit too expensive for what they are and what (generalisation) most "average joes" would use it for in my opinion. But I get a lot of uses out of it so money well spent for me :)

Really liking this still. I know it has only been a few days, but I really like the convenience of it all.

Bought a Blue Leather strap as well the other day, wanted it to have a bit more contrast than just black on black.

Managed to get mine done yesterday not long after it was released. It was quite slow going though, so maybe the servers are just getting hammered at the moment.

Been thinking of getting a blue leather loop to go with my black sport, already have the black one but fancied a change.

Not sure what I think now I've actually seen that combination in a "real" picture. Doesn't quite go for me personally, so thanks (I guess) for saving me some money :p

Hah it's fine. The guy in the store wasn't sure when I asked him for the blue strap, but once I tried it on, he quite liked it and said he'd probably end up doing something similar himself lol.
 
After a couple days with OS2 the watch feels much more snappier at doing things. I think they also made changes to the sensor as the exercise app and activity app seems to be more accurate? I think. Records more of my generally walking around at faster pace as "exercise" rather than just as "move". The new watch faces are kinda meh to me. I think it will be far better once they allow third parties to design faces or at least allow the user to customise them more.

Also I used apple pay for the first time on my watch in McDonalds yesterday..... was a fun experience. I don’t usually go to McDonalds but I was out with a friend who wanted to go for some food, so I though hell yea I’m going to try my apple pay out on my watch ! I ordered the guy told me how much so I used my watch and he just looked at me completely confused and asked “how did you do that ?” I was a bit confused and told him I paid for the meal. The guy then said but you didn’t use your card and you have not given me any money.... I explained yes but it says I have paid which I have. The guy then said it’s not possible what did you do... I then said in a joking way it was MAGIC ! The guy took this as offence and said I was trying to steal from them and called a manager over :eek: Normally I would be pretty annoyed but I actually could not help but find this sooooo funny. Had to wait for the manager to come over and he asked what was going on.... the guy at the till explained, the manager looked at me and which point I raised my wrist and tapped on my watch. Manager laughed and told the guy to get my food and stop wasting time :D
