What film did you watch last night?

Please recommend me what film to watch next - it needs to be a 10/10 (or as close to as possible).

Watched Edge of Tomorrow Last night.

It was entertaining, the holes in the story annoy me as holes always do, but those are unavoidable with films like this anyway so I should just ignore them. Overall a good watch though.

7/10

Scrolling down the IMDb top 250 and picking out the ones I really, really like and rate...

Goodfellas, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Terminator 2, Alien, Aliens, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Batman Begins, Die Hard, Heat, Pan's Labyrinth, Warrior, The Big Lebowski, Fargo, No Country for Old Men, The Thing, The Princess Bride, Donnie Darko, Jurassic Park, Groundhog Day, Ip Man, Pirates of the Caribbean, Beauty and the Beast.

I recently re-watched No Country For Old Men (D. Joel Coen, Ethan Coen, 2007) and did several scene breakdowns to help the first years and some English students (adaptation theory). It is a truly spectacular piece of filmmaking, certainly (in my humble opinion) one of the best films of the last ~ten years.

Insidious: Chapter 3. Third instalment of the increasingly moronic 'Ermahgerd! Ghosts!' franchise.

Stefanie Scott is a delicious little creature despite having a bust you could fit in a teaspoon, but even she can't save this tepid trickle of derptitude from a slow descent into mediocrity.

3/10.

To Kill a Mockingbird 6/10

12 Angry Men 6/10

Yeah I know probably committing some kind of crime by rating these so low, but neither film, in my opinion, was great. The kids were the best actors in To kill a Mockingbird.

To be honest, I was bored watching them.

Amazing film, my only criticism is I always feel cheated by what happens to josh brolin

Cloverfield 8/10

Seen it once before, but enjoyed it a lot more the second time. Nothing outstanding, just a solid monster flick.
