Cooler Master NovaTouch TKL Topre UK Tour

I might add to below but thought i would at least put down some bits.

It is out for delivery today as well

Here are my thoughts on Toby after a week. Currently I am using a wireless Logitech EX110 which lets say is not new and has been well used.
I was surprised by how much of an angle difference even before feet were up on the keyboards, i type a lot for work on a laptop so am used to a flat keyboard. It took my a good few days before i could type without most of the words being spell checked, even after a good use i found the occasional word was wrong. See below for what i mean.

Toby arrived well packaged and the box did give a good feel for buying something premium. They keyboard is a heavy beast and i couldn't just nudge it around my desk as it was pretty stuck with the rubber bits.

One thing that did disappoint me was the keycaps were already looking aged, my cheap Logitech seems to have better letters than this new one, for an expensive product I expected much better, even after being over a few people i expected this to look like new as it is just a few weeks old. Maybe someone with a Corsair K70 or similar can tell me if this is normal now...

it has already been mentioned the odd angled usb cable but i also found this a strange design decision. I moved the keyboard around my desk though, putting it out of the way while i needed desk space and back and it never once came loose.

I have typed a good few pages and rewrote my cv on the keyboard now. I also had too many hours on CSGO and GTA5. I never found any issues here, never did i feel like the keyboard had any ghost presses. Going back to my old keyboard i am missing how they keys feel, typing was much better but i am not sure how much better it is than other Cherry switches, i have used this for short times. Gaming was much better, i liked the feel and had no issues after a couple of hours.

ultimately the real downfall for me is price. I was considering a RGB K65 which is cheaper, has fancy lighting and i have had a quick go on one. I think i preferred the switches here but do i really feel i can justify the price vs features. After going back to my old keyboard i do miss the feel, there are small things like the keys feel wobbly on the Logitech and were solid on Toby.

Who has it now? Can you please send it to me next? I couldn't have it for this week since I won't have a chance to ship it out next week.

I've got Toby at the moment, he turned up today - you guys really weren't kidding when you said the packaging was overkill! :D

I didn't trust DPD enough to send it via DPD (took something like 5 days for my last parcel to be collected from a DPD drop-off point), so I sent it via Parcelforce for £12.

How do we know where good old Toby is heading next? I've been a bit busy and haven't check the thread much but still very much interested in my chance to review him :)

I've got him at the moment (there was a slight change to the order as I was selfish and went on holiday) and SuperG is next :)

Got your details, I'll ship him mid-week and drop you a message with the tracking number :)

Hoping to do my review video tonight, I've got a few reservations but its undeniably a fantastic keyboard to type with!

That's great! I'm planning to do a video review too but a bit shy about since I've never done one before...

I'll have a day in the office with him tomorrow then get him shipped out Wednesday :)

Here's my review - a solid 3.5-4* rating from me and Emily. Mostly just down to the personal preference of needing the number pad. Utterly fantastic keyboard to type with though.

And well built, as you'll see. I promise there's no damage :D

Fun vid, nice job on the review!

Cheers, I might do an outtakes reel - there's about an hour of footage of her getting a bit carried away with the typing, messing up the screen capture, opening random windows and getting distracted by everything else in the room and me constantly panicking about my PC and the welfare of the rather expensive keyboard :p

She really didn't hold back with the NKRO test! :D
