The girl on the phone said it would be another 5 minute hold (at best!) so would I prefer if she emailed me the status, which I said yes to. 2 minutes after hanging up the phone I get an email saying google takes fraud seriously and my account has been suspended. Then 2 more shortly after saying my purchase has been cancelled. I can only hope that this is google cancelling then resubmitting the order, but the best case scenario there is my order goes back in with a later delivery date.

Just when it was looking like google hadn't ****** it up this time

Same here, no confirmation e-mail received...Nothing to indicate I need to call them though :s

Had emails confirming orders and cancelation. Did you check Google Wallet to see what had happened to your payment(s)?

Not before I'd made the phone call, as I presumed everything was fine but just wanted to check. But once that fraud email came through, it asks for account verification. Customer Service woman told me to fill that out which I have, still waiting for response.

It's a combination of a terrible system and terrible customer service. I don't blame the people I'm speaking to entirely, as it sounds like their system is rubbish, but having said that they have done a very poor job of explaining what is going on
 
Just contacted Google Live Chat, got the following after asking re. the order. Also got confirmation that nothing is needed form my side.

"I can see the order and it is under the standard review period. Once that clears later today, you should receive the email confirmation. Then once it ships, your card will actually be charged then. Also, you will receive an email with the tracking number at that time. :)"
 
Its packing the latest and greatest amoled display ;)

Not really a help but I ordered the Frost on the evening they announced the phone. I cancelled it earlier and reordered the Aluminium one. Both times I got an order confirmation email.
 
The £10 cheaper isn't enough to make me cancel my Google order, but the 10 days earlier would be.

If Google don't charge until shipped, is it a good idea to order from CPW too, if CPW drop the delivery date back, simply cancel with them. If CPW deliver on the 22nd, cancel Google?

I can't see Google sending them to CPW and not to those that have pre-ordered though?
 
Tbh even if it is £10-50 cheaper at CPW, warranty is 2 years from Google i heard, that's worth the difference alone imo.
 
That last video does demonstrate how large it is, I thought the Note 3 was an ideal phablet size and said in that thread I wouldn't want anything bigger, this is bigger :eek:

Wait it took you the video to realise it was a big phone when you printed out a lifesize mock-up? :D

It's the same size as the last Nexus 6... really not sure what people were expecting lol.

Yeah really does look huge. Its funny really, its not that much bigger than the note 3 for example, but that small increase seems to make a huge difference.
 
Yeah I am having second thoughts now tbh, just think it is going to be too big :(

I think I would get on fine with it in regards to it fitting in my hand but....... fitting in my pockets is another matter.... and no, I don't wear skinny jeans! :p

It's narrower than the note 3 which is the main thing for actually using it - the increase in length is only an issue for ones pockets (ooo err)
