Which is often referred to "other rule break" where you get blanked for trying to get some sort of resolution.

My biggest issue with all this is that a lot of these things are happening to customers, and whilst I'm not saying customers should get special treatment, because I'm not.

I think it's utterly ridiculous that these sort of things happen in the first place when a large portion of the people on here are customers.

Perhaps, but getting a second strike on your MM record and suspended for two weeks over accidentally price dropping a thread before the 24hour limit by a few hours was utterly ridiculous. :o

Certainly, but my point is that whilst I think think it's a good idea in theory, with certain moderators still being active I don't think all that much will change.

If one moderator in particular hasn't been told about favouritism and dishing out punishments because he feels like it, I can't see them being told now.

The situations I'm complaining about, I forwarded my complaint to multiple moderators when it became apparent I was being ignored by the initial one, and I either get ignored or told that it was just, then ignored on any further questions about it.

Either way, that sort of thing isn't really there to protect people from getting ripped off. Ensuring there's been 24 hours between drops doesn't stop someone from getting ripped off.

I'm not questioning that specific rule, as I understand it's there to give sellers a fair chance of thread exposure, but a suspension does seem extreme.

It's a start though and a step in the right direction.

I have to credit the team for going down this route, I had pretty much lost any faith in/respect for the mod team tbh, this has made me think about them more positively. At least something is happening, whether it has any impact only time will tell.

Better than a kick in the nuts, eh?

Not if you saw how many MM strikes the OP actually has, but never let the truth get in the way of a good story :p

I certainly agree it's definitely a start in the right direction. I really hope it works out well.

I feel like a lot of good has come from Freefaller becoming an admin, as well as the change in ownership.

Simple solution may be to move it to it's own collapsible sub section, then it can be hidden away by whoever is bothered and utilised later whenever they may feel the need.

I'm going to assume you're referring to me? You should perhaps check the notes more clearly.

All my MM infractions have been due to simple harmless mistakes that in no way would potentially harm or ripoff any potential buyer. But hey, it sounds better when you don't mention that. I don't see a negative trust anywhere? :p

I admit that was my erroneous memory, and I apologise, but the point remains. That attitude is callous, pretentious and uncalled for!

The notes are just fine, I'd go one further and say they are reassuringly extensive.

Alas harmless mistakes don't exonerate you, rules is rules and you broke them and just like everyone else in the same boat you were appropriately punished.

And that is why people have problems with your MM rules in the first place. People don't like it when you punish so draconian style for harmless mistakes that everyone makes (mine seem quite spread out as one is even from 2012. EDIT: Apparently I have quite the collection within a month, how very silly of me. :p), and it doesn't protect people from being ripped off either, so the only person that loses out is the seller who had a slip of the mind and ended up getting banned from the forums because of it.

That's a fair point but alas these were months ago so it isn't going to help me any now. I imagine I'll be told to suck it up or something. :p

It seems like this thread is becoming the public 'grievances against moderator decisions' thread so I'm going to stop now as I've had my say.

Public as in everyone being able to see the dispute and convo between mods and members do you mean :confused: surely not. That would cause chaos!
I must have got that wrong.
