The Last word is just a normal drop.

Thorn was only obtainable via a Quest which dropped randomly when handing bounties in. Not sure if that drops anymore as it was a year 1 weapon. Likely not.

I'm not sure if they altered it so that the Year 1 "legacy" weapon engrams Xur sells will drop it. Possibly no way to get thorn anymore.

And to think of all the effort people put into searching the heroics. Looks like the quest everybody theorized we needed in addition to the 4 relics just dropped in our lap on this week's arms day !

*edit* unlocking all the codes unlocks a quest, Completing this quest gives you that missing 5th relic. This has 5 modules that must be completed before it can be handed in.

*edit2* looks like you have to do the Ishtar Collective, dismantle heavy weapons and do some Warsat public events. Its all so exciting and i'm stuck at work watching it all unfold on reddit !

*edit3* looks like you have to do a warsat on earth, moon & mars as Venus doesn't have warsat events which is why you have to do Ishtar collective. Somebody got a "Plasma Confinement Module 2" from a Warsat on the Moon. Complete the Ishtar Collective (the Archive) mission to get the Ionized Shell Harmonics

I'm suddenly feeling very sick, so sick I may have to rush home.
 
So, why all the hype about the Sleeper Simulant? Just purely as it's a new weapon or do people know what perks it'll have or is a there a load of lore attached to it?

The weapon has been referred to as the Gjallarhorn of Year 2. If you never got to experience Gjallarhorn at its peak in Year 1, it was basically a boss melting rocket launcher. A full fireteam all with Gjallarhorn would destroy any boss in the game in no time.
 
I need to do a mars warsat and the archive mission for mine, keep getting error codes left and right. Looks like a lot of people are having the same errors from reading reddit.

After you've assembled the core, you hand it in to Banshee who apparently gives you nothing back.
 
There's no rush, it looks like they've time gated it with one step being wait till the next arms day. Who knows what hoops there are after that.

That's how it seems, or at least timed like it was with the Elder Cipher. Banshee might come back to us in a few days with the next portion of the quest. Either way, I want to get this done when I get home tonight. If it's gated by a particular length of time, rather than just waiting until next Wednesday, the sooner we all do it the better.
 
Well I was looking forward to getting my exotic kick ass sword, but this is bigger lol. More hidden stuff please Bungie!
 
I know what you mean. Do I prioritise Touch of Malice or this.... Decisions Decisions.

EDIT: Thinking about it, it all depends on whether you have "found" four of the fusion relics anyway. If you haven't there isn't much to do beyond grinding to find the 4th. Considering nothing has dropped for both my hunter and Warlock in the last week I am hopeful that I have all four on both.

You can at least get that. Sleeper Simulat appears to be time gated and you have to wait for the gunsmith to give you the next bit which may not be until next week.
 
Eh what have I missed? Sick as a dog today so at home. Just ground out fragments, on 43, still have shield brothers and 3 CoO to do. How many you need for malice?
 
45 but you also need to complete a Hunger Pangs quest which requires picking something up from each key boss in the raid (well three of them including Deathsingers and Oryx).

The other thing is that the quest for Sleeper Simulant seems to have triggered today via the gunsmith reset. If you have handed in four of the fusion rifles (character level) then you get a quest/mission show up on Earth.
