Online MOT History

Interestingly on a MOT prior to me owning my current car it had:

"Nearside Front Tyre not fitted in accordance with side wall instructions (4.1.D.1f)
Offside Rear Tyre not fitted in accordance with side wall instructions (4.1.D.1f)"

What does this even mean? Low air pressure or on the wrong way around?

mine has failed a few times :(

Rear Exhaust has a major leak of exhaust gases (7.1.2)

Trailer electrical socket (13 pin) not operating the trailer lamps as intended (1.9.4)
Brake fluid warning lamp illuminated (3.6.G.2)

Parking brake lever has no reserve travel (3.1.6b)

Small tear to find out that my perfectly well looked after 1996 citroen ax never had another MOT after I sold it :( Was such a good wee car too.

My old Saxo which was sold years ago obviously has a cool owner now:

"Windscreen has a sticker or other obstruction encroaching into the swept area by more than 40mm outside zone 'A' (8.3.1e)"

Sigh.... :D

Wow, checked my old Focus. Had a fresh new MOT when I sold it - no problems.

Now;

Reason(s) for failure
Anti-lock braking system warning lamp indicates an ABS fault (3.4.1c)

Offside Rear Tyre(s) incorrect because different size tyres are fitted on the same axle. (4.1.A.1a)
Advisory notice item(s)
Nearside Rear Direction indicator slightly discoloured (1.4.A.2f)
Nearside Front Suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated but not resulting in excessive movement (2.4.G.2)

Items removed from driver's view prior to test
various suspension components corroded
both outer sills corroded
nearside front tyre worn inner edge
offside front tyre worn inner edge
offside rear tyre worn inner edge
nearside rear tyre worn inner edge

What the hell has this guy been doing with it?

It's good to see that the previous owners of my car made every effort to thoroughly... not give a hoot about my car :(!

2008- Both front suspension arms bishes deteriorated but not resulting in exessive movement. Also no passenger mirror (!)

2009- same

2010- Same, but does result in excessive movement so fail!

2013- wear on o/s/f tyre

2014- ply/cords showing on o/s/f tyre (fail)

my old 1995 nissan has an MOT till May 2016 with 131k on it though :)

Edit- after reading other people's maybe mine isnt so bad!!

This is VERY broken.

Put in a reg for one car (not mine) and... I get the complete MOT history including the current for a car that plate hasn't been on for 5 years. The plate has been on two cars since (one of which it is still on) none of which are listed.

Yet mine works fine.

Wow was a little gutted I missed out on a car which had just sold but looking at the history of a long "oil leak" and tyres wearing unevenly each year. Sounds a lemon.

Thanks!
